I don't think they're either, but obviously someone made this thread saying Orlando are a play-off team etc thus they're seen as those things.

So the Magic drafted Howard over Okafar and you had a sudden burst of anger...They made a bad decision but to say you are abandoning your team because they took the project 2nd pick instead of the first! OH NO!

How do you think I feel, how do you think Nets fans feel right now?

How do you think Lakers fans feel right now?

I mean, Orlando is a better team and because they made one mistake that might not cost them anything you say your abandoning your team and then say it was a burst of anger.

Lakers just lost the most dominant player to ever play the game for developing talent. They got screwed over in a trade because Payton decided not to show up for a physical.

Nets just lost and All-Star for garbage, a consistent SG for garbage and are now looking to trade one of the best point guards in the league for a guy who may never play well again. But I am not abandoning them what so ever. I know that they will have a bad year and the Lakers might too because of BAD MANAGMENT. But seriously, whether or not that statement you made about abandoning your team was becasue of anger and now you realise you contradicted yourself, a true fan never says that they are going to abandon their team for a big mistake or a small mistake.

OK OK...

New Jersey Nets will win the championship no doubt in my mind...

I know you love your team but they will not win.

They have no defense except for Mobley.

Francis is good but he's not a team player, he likes to do too much himself.

If Cato repeats last years performance then they should start Battie, Cato is a backup or even a third stringer.

Grant Hill will not have a comeback season, he might play well, but not well enough to help them win. Which is why they have Turkoglu and Stevenson for insurance.

I am happy to see you are behind your team but Orlando just doesn't have all the pieces of a championship team.

I'm pretty sure homer was never gonna leave the magic as a fan. He has said that so why not believe him?
People say irrational things sometimes and homer's outburst was him just being irrational and not thinking i guess.

It was an outburst that lasted for a fair while... and he also seems to abandon them everytime they lose. Either way, I'm not too bothered.

The Magic have a much improved roster over the one they had last season, only time will tell if they have what it takes to make a run into the playoffs come April/May next year. And as the Pistons (and Olympics) showed us team chemistry will take you alot further than individual talent.

^^^^team chemistry is important but no matter how much team chemistry Orlando will have they still don't have the TALENT to beat SAS or Detroit, both teams with great chemistry

and Chemistry won't stop Shaq from whooping ya ass either

Shaq needs more than what he has to win a championship though.

Anyway, I wouldn't call the Magic a title contender, but I can see them possibly making it to the Conference Finals. They have players that came from western conference teams such as Hedo, Francis, Mobley, Cato. All 4 of them have playoff experience and with the 4 in an easier division, it will be a much easier risk to reach the east finals. Then you have the no.1 pick, Dwight Howard. Don't forget about Tony Battie either. The team has some depth along with chemistry. If they can get Hill back, you would be looking at a team with Francis, Mobley, Hedo, Howard, Cato, Battie, Nelson, Hill, Garrity, Stevenson and Bogans. All of those players can play, the Magic kinda remind me of the Eastern Conference Grizzlies. I don't think their depth is as good, but they have enough depth to get them a 50 win season in the east.

NOTHING will stop Shaq from whooping ya ass! But as we saw in the NBA finals this year Shaq may get his numbers but if he's not surrounded by good roleplayers who can carry their weight then he ain't gonna be getting the "W"

IMO Shaq is in a much better environment in Miami than he was in LA, the problem with the Lakers was to many Chiefs and not enough indians, and the indians they had were restless.

Florida basketball is looking good with the improvements that both Miami and Orlando have made over the off-season.
