I guess they're really committed to clearing house and rebuilding around Jefferson (and Kidd if he remains a Net). Harris is no All-Star, but he's been with the Nets for a while and has been a good player to bring off the bench or start in place of an injured player the last few years.

laugh out loud but i think there's a strong chance that both the bobs and the bulls could finish better then the nets. i was considering starting a thread about this...

i've been trying to convince myself that the nets could pull off a jazz/buck from last year and make the playoffs.

jefferson would be the kirilenko/redd role and carry the team.

ron mercer would be the forgotten veteran re-emerging (joe smith).

krstic and planinic would be the youngsters surprising everybody (arroyo).

another positive the nets had going for them was that they have a core players that have been together and played in the system for a bit: collins, jefferson, scalabrine, aaron williams

but now this harris move has me getting second thoughts. it looks like this season can be a tank job by nJ: whatever perimeter game that remained just walked out the door, kidd not being ready for the start of the season (and possibly longer if the team sucks ass), and new ownership possibly wanting to rebuild fresh with all that cap room next year + draft picks

or maybe some nets die hard like EG knows otherwise?
Jump.

Well I really hope they go through with the 3-way trade involving the Knicks and T'Wolves. They would lose Jason Kidd and Aaron Williams but get Sam Cassell, Ervin Johnson and Kurt Thomas. As much as I want Kidd to stay he's just not getting any better and if the trade goes through the Nets probably will make the playoffs but definitley won't win any championships. They would have a pretty good starting line-up if the trade goes through, although no where near as good as last years. And if the trade does go through I wish Kidd all the best in Minnesota, if he goes there they will be the team I want to win, since of course the Nets have a lot of work to do before they get anywhere.
