McGee has been impressive, he looks like a monster out there. He gets a lot of crap, but the dude can really impact a game when he is zoned in.

McGee has been amazing ever since he joined the Warriors. His highlights are underrated too! He had some sick dunks over the past 2 seasons.

Kawhi still doesn't feel well even though Spurs medical staff already cleared him. Got another team of doctors on his side to help him. Doctors on Kawhi's side says he needs more rehab. Kawhi obliges because he doesn't feel good about his knees and don't want to be the next D Rose/ G Hill so he decides to get 100% first before playing again.
what a bizarre situation. and reports of leonard not in contact with his teammates plus he doesn't even go to the games and the cherry on top of Pop trolling him to the media.
at least Drose and the coach were on the same page

Maybe the media are getting played, but I do think the old adage of "where there's smoke, there's fire" applies here. He's conspicuous by his absence, and the lack of solidarity is notably uncharacteristic.

To be fair Kawhi has never been a people person. I would say he is just too frustrated to be around at the moment.
Thu Apr 19, 2018 10:09 am
I wonder if there's any chance that he pulls a Larry Sanders and just retires.
Thu Apr 19, 2018 11:14 am
I don't know about that, unless his injuries just aren't healing, or his heart truly isn't in the game anymore.
Fri Apr 20, 2018 6:09 am
I don't think he's pulled a Derrick Rose and checked out yet. Just probably concerned his injury isn't 100% and is looking towards free agency. Doesn't want to be the next IT
I would bet the house on the spurs winning tonight for pop

Same.
I chose 3 Spurs in daily fantasy tonight because of it. I'm expecting a huge performance out of Aldridge, hope I'm not wrong.
I'd like to see the Spurs take a couple games. In regards to Kawhi, supposedly a NBA executive stated that Kawhi has already chosen the Lakers as his next destination.
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2771435-lakers-trade-rumors-la-will-go-in-hard-for-kawhi-leonard-deal-with-spursThe article I read was actually from Total Pro Sports, but I can't find it. But the anonymous NBA executive states:
Leonard wants to go to LA. There probably wont be public demands on that, but he has leverage. He is going to be a free agent in 2019. He's an LA guy and he can just let teams know he won't resign next year with anyone but the Lakers.
A healthy Leonard, with that young core of the Lakers would be interesting. Also, would this put the Spurs in full rebuild mode?

If that's the case I hope the Lakers max out Randle and pocket the rest for next year

Imagine if Kawhi played tonight for Pop.

I'd have to imagine so. More unfamiliar territory for them, as they've been able to remain relevant (or at least competitive) for close to 30 years now, with the only major blip being the injury-riddled 1997 season...which in turn led to Tim Duncan and even more success.

Well, I don't see San Antonio avoiding the sweep.

if he would just communicate this to the coach/management, pop wouldn't troll him in the media... similar to how pax and thibs had rose's back (even behind closed doors they
had to be pissed)

I would have lost my house in a bet btw lol

Sweep incoming.

I don't see Spurs tanking next season. Pretty sure Parker comes off the books so that extra cap space could be useful.
My bet is Spurs will tank only after Pop retires which I find reasonable considering he is only 138 wins (46 avg for 3 seasons) away from Don Nelson's Regular Season Wins record . Then again, Pop probably doesn't care about that record.

This guy's opinion is on par with mine. Solid piece, media blows.

Hats off to the Spurs for at least avoiding the sweep. I didn't think they had it in them. Any time you can hold the Warriors to 90 points is a great effort, too.

Spurs always proving us wrong.
Just when we thought they wouldn’t make the playoffs, they do.
Spurs gonna get swept, no sir.

Got it right, though I was seriously doubting it would go to five after Game 3.
If this is it for Manu Ginobili - and we have thought that the last couple of years - he's had a hell of a career. The fact that he still seems to have something left in the tank at age 40 is very impressive; he still looks quite spry out there, and capable of playing effective minutes.
