Isnt it kinda crzy? Knicks are unwilling to trade Porzingis for Irving but Melo + future first round are fine.
And we get this math formula.
Porzingis > Irving > Melo
Irving = Melo + 1st round picks
Is this realistic in 2K vid game world? 2K devs need to reward more value into potential and youth.

are you saying the knicks should trade porzingis before melo? imo if the knicks can drop melo and a first for irving they won the trade.
Wed Jul 26, 2017 5:32 pm
I am saying it's funny because their values really depend on perspective. Melo widely regarded as best out of 3 is worth so little while unproven Porzingus is vastly more valuable.
Wed Jul 26, 2017 5:35 pm
As Hubie Brown might say, Porzingas has upside on his...er, side.
Wed Jul 26, 2017 9:22 pm
if i am running a team i take melo last out of the 3

the first thing i said when i heard kyrie wanted out is that boston was the perfect spot for him. he has all the tools around him while being the main star. best part is we get away from thomas who i am not a fan of
Wed Aug 23, 2017 9:26 am
What about Thomas don't you like? I'm just curious. He seems to be doing well.
Wed Aug 23, 2017 9:33 am
Ill never forget you, uncle drew.

Celtics are sending Thomas, Crowder, Ante Zizic and Brooklyn's 2018 first-round pick for Kyrie Irving, league sources tell The Vertical.
Well, damn. This is the best place to land for Kyrie right now IMHO but I really want to see how IT's reaction right now. I thought loyalty meant something for the Celtics organisation.

his size. i mean i like the guy and he has been good for boston but he is not a guy you build a team around. at best he needs to be a guy who provides offensive fire power off the bench on a championship team. i fully respect what he has done in boston but i would lose my shit if we end up paying him a max contract. getting irving seems like a perfect fit for both team and player.
Wed Aug 23, 2017 9:49 am
Well shit... it will be interesting to see how much this helps the Cavs this year.
Wed Aug 23, 2017 10:08 am
looks like its a done deal. gonna miss that brooklyn pick though
Wed Aug 23, 2017 10:13 am
More details.
The Celtics are sending Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and Brooklyn’s 2018 first-round pick to Cleveland, league sources told The Vertical.
Irving agreed to waive his trade kicker to complete the deal, league sources told The Vertical.
It's not often that both sides benefit from an All-Star getting traded, but I'd say that's what's happened here. With LeBron rumoured to be leaving in 2018, this gives the Cavs assets to retool and rebuild. For the Celtics, Irving is an upgrade on Thomas, and while giving up the pick may come back to haunt them, there's more certainty in a proven player. It's a worthwhile gamble for Boston, especially when they've already picked up some promising players with the previous Brooklyn picks.
Kind of a shocking deal, all things considered.
Wed Aug 23, 2017 10:20 am
I hurt.
Not because I don't like Irving, or see the business side of it. But because Thomas was the heart and soul of the Celtics, he loved playing for the Celtics.
He gave us (Celtics fans) everything he had.
We will miss IT.

whoever is the Cavs GM had ainge grabbing his ankles. Irving asked his way out in turn killing the Cavs leverage, and yet the Cavs GM was able to get this haul!?
sorry - Irving is not a franchise player.
fit wise some question marks about IT but the Cavs retain their EAST reign, got the pick (!), and a much needed versatile defender in crowder
yeah agree with the heart thing. avery and now IT & crowdah. wow

I think this actually helps both teams somehow. Gives Cavs more depth, gives Celts an excellent 1 on 1 player/scorer to pair with Hayward.
Wed Aug 23, 2017 5:58 pm
It's clear the cavs are going to rebuild after the LBJ era is done, they got one of the best deals out there. Isaiah Thomas will be the star of the team once Bron leaves, Jae is not that bad of a SF and defender, Zizic is a prospect for the future and they also got the Nets Pick which is top 5 this year.

What just happened is mind boggling. Ainge finally fucks fucks really fucks up. This is great to hear but even worse, Dan Gilbert just built a superteam out of thin air plus the pick.
I believe Kyrie next to LBJ boosted his play this past couple years. Kyrie next to Hayward will be a mess, helps neither. Horford/Hayward/Kyrie aren't a big 3 teams will fear. Ainge just turned #1 seed into #5 seed team this offseason. Grats.
Isiah alone is a better player than Kyrie at this stage of their NBA career. This is why addition of Jae Crowder vastly unbalances this trade. Minutes these two are going to replace are gonna be huge for the Cavs. Imagine durable and prime Isaiah and Jae playing in place of erratic Irving and ancient bodies like Frye and Richard Jefferson. Adding to the insult, Brooklyn pick absolutely gang rapes. Is this legal? How?
Making this deal with the biggest rival in same conference, did Ainge lose his mind? He had a good shot, great shot at getting to the Finals for the next couple or few seasons. The thing is the Cavs were only gonna get worse while things were looking up for the Celtics.

Cavs get 2018 unprotected 1st round pick from Nets... Another #1 pick incoming?
Wed Aug 23, 2017 8:47 pm
Will be funny seeing Kyrie giving interviews to the Boston Globe. I can already see the memes.
Wed Aug 23, 2017 9:23 pm
Good haul for the Cavs. Another Finals appearance and got them a star player when LeBron leaves next season.
Wed Aug 23, 2017 10:02 pm
Meanwhile out West the Warriors are like...
Wed Aug 23, 2017 10:34 pm
Nets have to be the biggest cucks in the league. Giving away all their 1st round picks and watching them turn into star players for other teams.
