I think most would agree Kevin Garnett is the most versatile player in the league. I'm not looking to discuss that. I want to know who's the 2nd most versatile player in the league.
I'm nominating: Michael Curry.
Played SG, SF, PF, C for the Raptors last season. Did it all, defending star PFs on a west coast trip! Actually the Raptors had a better record when Curry had played PF or C than they had when he played SF!
Discuss.

lol michael curry a centre? this isnt the same michael curry who detroit let go after princes emergance is it? The man is 6-5!
I think I'll go with Lamar Odom. I think he could run a team at the forward position, pippen-like but not as good obviously. He is quick for his size, good ball handler and playmaker. He can also go down low and operate in the post.

Lamar Odom aswell for me, I dont think he can play the 5 that well because he is kinda thin, but he has played all the other 4 positions in his career.

If Michael Curry can play C, anyone can.

Odom only played three positions during the season. Curry played four. Next.

Shaq... he dominates inside, plus he can step out and hit from deep.... like 4 feet even! Runs the point from under the basket, and can defend guys on the perimeter because it takes the entire 24 second shot clock to run around him.

Curry didn't play four positions because he's versatile, he played four positions because the Raptors didn't have anyone else

Someone has been watching Judge Judy too often. Jonathan Bender played 3 positions for the pacers, does that mean he is more versatile than ron artest? If you genuinely believe that Michael Curry is the second most versatile player in the nba, thats unfortunate.

Not sure he played all of those 4 positions decently either, but we'll ignore that.
I'd recommend Shawn Bradley as the most versatile player, seeing asthough he can play the role of a token white giant but occassionally decides he's a former #1 draft pick and a real basketballer.

Well, what about being the oppositions favourite player to dunk on, and he's a Mormon so he probably holds some sort of prayer group at the Mavs.
5 positions!!!

It would if Artest hadn't played three positions also.Jae wrote:Not sure he played all of those 4 positions decently either, but we'll ignore that.
Like I said, he was even more effective when playing PF and C.

KG played PG in the Lakers series. He can play all 5 positions.
I think it has to be Lamar Odom. He can almost every position on the court and has superb handling for his height.
I hate to say this, Tim Thomas is kind of verstile too.
