...Kobe is free... and as my religion teacher says with freedom comes responsibility- will Kobe claim responsibility if the Lakers lose this season (obviously they wont lose! :) )

Why do u guys think the prosecutor actually dropped the criminal case?

Do u think obe deserves his past promotional contracts back? Or will, as articles suggest, his tarnished squaeky clean image prevent this from happening?

If he doesnt get his promtional 'career' back... will this help him get better at basketball cause he has even more time to practise?

(At least he can be like Pele and do viagra ads!)

I think they withdrew the charges because the women didn't want to go through it. They had no case and they folded. I wouldn't be surprised if they go after money.

I think Kobe's image will never be the same, rape or not he did have sex with her in that hotel. He will get his contracts and stuff back because he is Kobe Bryant. The reason they pulled back on the contracts is because he could be going to jail but now that he is "innocent" or better said "free" he will now get offers for contracts and endorcements.

I don't think practice is really a concern during the trials. He said he always practiced after a day in court..it felt good to relieve his stress. I'm not a Kobe fan but it kind of sucks what he went through. He spent millions of dollars to defend his name and then she withdraws in the last second before trial.

Death threats, enormous "errors" by the court... I doubt this girl dared to go on with her case. Kobe even issued a statement before where he said he "understood that from her point of view it wasn't consensual" how much of a testimony is that?

pretty much rens just said.. also read that the defense wanted some sort of evidence from the prosecution but the prosecution wouldn't hand it over.. i think this is what ultimately led to the dismissal of the case

Would those companies really be shameless enough to offer him endorsement deals after severing ties with him? Possibly, but even if they did he could probably afford to decline the offers.

I highly doubt thats the case, since Kobe was winning this thing all along.

Oh Rens, cut the bullshit! The statement made was merely part of the agreement for her dropping the case, stipulated by the prosecution. Now, people can say why would he ever agree to make a statement like that? What, he'd rather say no and face an all-white jury in the post-OJ era? Death threats, what she didn't proceed because she was fearing for her life? She was fearing for HER life?

As far as the "errors" you eluded to: According to Roger Cossack ESPN legal analyst, those errors that ocurred were nothing different than any other criminal case. It just got the spotlight because of the high profile nature of this case......

Testimony??? *sigh*
