Hello. I would like to ask about the link for the 2013 Roster Update for NBA Live 07. When I tried to access the download site, it says that "The site can't be reached" and that the server DNS address could not be found. I'd thought of updating my game so is it okay if you check what's the problem of the link? Thanks for the logo updates, btw!

We've just moved to a new server, and my rosters (as well as some other larger updates) were stored on a server that no longer exists. I'm still sorting everything out post-move, including getting those links back up. I'll try to get that done as soon as possible, but I can't give you a time frame right now. The move was a big job, and I'm still double-checking everything, and trying to fix the issues I've already found.

Just a heads up, I've fixed the link for the last release of the NLSC roster update (2013 season). Please note that it isn't updated at all, and this isn't an announcement of any new release, but the link has been down since we moved, and I've finally gotten around to fixing it.

It's therefore available for archive purposes, for anyone who wants to play with 2013 season rosters, or take it and use it as a base for a new update. If you do the latter, just be sure to give me some credit as the original author, as I have put a lot of work into the update over the years.

You may have noticed that I've been using a few more screenshots from the Xbox 360 versions of NBA Live in some of my recent articles. That's because I picked up an Elgato capture card not too long ago, and I've been keen to put it to use to grab some media for both written articles and video features.

The thought occurred that I could take screenshots of the title screens from the Xbox 360 releases, and create some custom title screens for their PC equivalents. It's taken some careful and creative cropping, and in the case of NBA Live 07, I've had to use the pre-boot screen as the main title screen didn't really suit the 512x512 file that the PC version uses. In any case, I've come up with some "next gen" title screens - well, next generation for the time the games came out, anyway - for NBA Live 06-08.

As I've said before, I don't have as much time to mod these days, especially when it comes to committing to creating any current roster updates. However, I do still like to dabble here and there when an idea comes to mind, so whenever I can set aside the time, I'll be sure to upload the occasional release every now and again.

As you may have seen here (or here), we're celebrating the modding community this month with March Modness! The event includes a contest for modders, but I'll also be marking the occasion by getting back into some modding myself. As I discussed in this week's Monday Tip-Off, I have a couple of projects that I've been working on whenever I can find the time, and a few other ideas I'd like to explore. With March Modness taking place, it seems like a good time to get stuck into those projects, and see about making some of those other ideas a reality as well.

The first thing I'm offering up is an NBA Live 18 Title Screen for NBA Live 2005-08. It's hosted in the NBA Live 08 section, but it's compatible with NBA Live 2005, NBA Live 06, and NBA Live 07 as well. It's nothing fancy, just a small mod to get things started.

Just a couple of quick updates. Following on from the earlier release of my NBA Live 18 Title Screen update from the game itself, it's another title screen based on the NBA Live 18 cover art featuring James Harden, and one based on the newly unveiled NBA Live 19 cover art featuring Joel Embiid. You'll find them in the NBA Live 08 section, but they can be used for NBA Live 2005, NBA Live 06, and NBA Live 07 as well. Just place the .big file in the sgsm folder!

No further updates on any bigger projects as yet (but do stay tuned), but I have released a small fix that we probably should've had years ago. I was talking about the issue of Primacy being recalculated in Breems' story topic, and he brought up the idea of having a Primacy fix for the default rosters (which he is using). As such, I've whipped up one that you can download here:

Note that it will display some errors when it can't find certain players in the database. This happens because some players get pruned when you start a new Dynasty game, and I just added the data for all original players to the batch file. All players that the batch file does find should be fixed accordingly, though.

As with the Primacy fixes included in the NLSC roster updates, it should be run fairly regularly, notably whenever there are trades and injuries. Please note that if you're using an NLSC roster update, you should use the Primacy fix that's included with it; this one is for the default roster only. Again, it's just a small fix that I probably should've made years ago, but now we've got it for anyone indulging in some retro gaming.

Tipping off this year's March Modness with a small release, it's an NBA Live 19 All-Star Edition title screen! It was made for NBA Live 08, but will also work with NBA Live 2005-07.

I've also updated the Next Gen Title Screen. Using the file from NBA Live 08, I was able to include the proper title screen, rather than the smaller pre-boot screen I was using to fit the original title screen file from NBA Live 07 PC.
