Yeah, I could have got the Xbox controller, but saw the Logitech one at half-price. So it was an automatic get. The CD-R King controllers are getting more and more annoying.

I have good experience with a Logitech controller, sturdy enough that the one I used that looked like a PS2 controller without the analog sticks is still working fine even now.
Though is may be the first time I'm using one of their controllers with analog sticks.

I had one for live 2001 with sticks and it worked perfectly. It did take some work with the software/calibration though

Probably more to do with the OS (Windows 98/ME) for the calibration trouble.

I print A LOT. So I been buying cost effective 3rd party ink cartridges but I don't like replacing them too often which gets my hands dirty and some of generic ink cartridges come defecto so there's some work involved to make em work. So I recently came across this item in the Amazon Dot Com. Unfortunately can't get it in Canada so need to make a trip to the state.

Has anyone got experience with this kinda feeder system? Hoping it will work well.

I've fallen to my childhood nostalgia and have nabbed the Kingdom Hearts 2.5 remix, though I wonder if I could've waited a little longer for the official release of "3" on next gen. No matter - as I'm back to trying to kill Sephiroth, and . . . . I keep getting destroyed.
Edit: or rather not kill him, but "beat" him. I mean, you're never allowed to actually kill the bosses from Final Fantasy anyway.

Bought an EVGA GTX 970 to upgrade from my GTX 780, but I'm having some issues with the PCI-E slot of my ASUS mobo, which does not detect it.
I figured maybe it's the card that's defective, but after I tried to reinstall my 780 in there, I got the same issue, all of a sudden it wasn't detecting it anymore, except from Windows Update where it was suggesting for me to install the WDDM driver for it. But now it won't let me update this driver with a newer one, and there's no WDDM driver yet supporting the 970, so I'm pretty fucked and I think I'll just end up buying a new motherboard.
End rant.
Sat Feb 21, 2015 10:17 am
Wack. Google the issue and you might notice that several people have the issue of that card not being recognized.
I've thought about getting one myself, but my next upgrade will probably be a whole cpu/mobo/gfx/ram/psu combo.
As for direct advice, I would sweep any old gfx drivers out of my system and try moving the card to a different pci slot.
Sun Feb 22, 2015 3:00 am
Yea, it's weird stuff, I've spent hours on this already, researching and troubleshooting. My mobo only has one PCI-E slot so I'm screwed there. I had thoroughly uninstalled any trace of driver using DDU prior to trying this, like I've always done and I hadn't had any issue in the past. The strange thing is that after calling Microsoft they referred me to their "Windows 8.1 compatibility" website and it shows that only two models of GTX 970 are currently recognized as fully compatible with that OS, two ASUS cards, which seems very improbable as I'm quite sure there are plenty of peeps out there with other brands of this GPU and with that OS...
I'll probably end up getting a new mobo but since I was dumb enough to buy a CPU with a socket that's no longer used (LGA1155), it looks like my choices are very limited...That's another bummer because I really like that processor, I'd rather not change it yet if I can avoid it.

Did you read and try this? Sounds like a Nvidia /Windows 8.1 issue because somebody described the same scenario of switching and switching back with the same error. Sound like the card is fine, but Windows is the issue, not your motherboard.
http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id- ... d-put.htmlBasically all the troubleshooting steps until a reinstall of Windows and all the drivers, then it worked for them.
If all else fails, send the card to me.

I had a friend who works in IT look into it and he managed to make it work. It looks like the Geforce 347.52 drivers that I had got from the Nvidia website was somehow faulty, and by simply using the Geforce Experience feature that was automatically installed from the WDDM drivers (I never use that crap otherwise), he managed to re-download and install the latest drivers. From all the threads I had read about this, I hadn't seen anything about such a simple troubleshooting step...
Sorry Pat, no card for you, I'm about to test-drive my GTX 970 right now and I gave my friend my GTX 780 as a token of my appreciation. Thanks though!

8gb of ram is not enough memory to sustain life, that is why he is upgrading.
I personally thought about getting faster ram. I did a little research and found that it's not worth the upgrade because the speed benefits end up being bottlenecked by the increased latency. I'm going to wait for ddr4 and then upgrade my cpu/ram/mobo.

Not entirely sure I see the reasoning here. But yea I do, thanks for the concern.

If he hadn't he would already be running on DDR4.

I don't really know much about the good headphones and since my hearing is shit any headphones that is cheaper and I can hear properly would do just fine. I bought this Sony headphones a little while ago. Hope it last long.

The real question is: (if you happen to have one) will it cooperate with a Playstation 4 (yes I notice the absence of a mic on the headset). I went out and spent $20 or so on a cheap headset just because blueteeth aren't supported. /endgripe

Continuing on my never-ending Samsung binge, I recently got the S6 Edge 128GB:

And the HW-H750 sound bar to replace my aging surround sound setup:

A bit of a necromancy attempt

Decided to upgrade my aging Galaxy Nexus and after a while I decided to get Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) - Intel Quad Core @2.3GHz, it's not ARM CPU, but regular x86_64, 4GB of RAM (sounds like overkill, but hey, RAM was my main enemy on the Gnex) and 64GB of storage (with microSD card extension slot).
The guy in the shop I was buying it at was trying to talk me into buying their "extended warranty, because anything can happen". He stopped after I said "Thanks, but I'll be breaking the warranty as soon as I get home".
Now it's running android 6.0.1, Dirty Unicorns more specifically (nice ROM, can recommend).

I got a mechanical keyboard and for some reason I really really like typing now. Don't judge me.
DAS Professional S with the Brown switches because I'm a wuss and thought of the children.

Got a Sony Xperia Z5 Compact last month to replace my dying Xperia C (power button sank, I always get stuck on a boot loop, hangs everytime I access the storage).

Then I got this for my brother's birthday:

^ the blue is a lot brighter in person.
And this when my best friend came back home from New York:

Though the belt is the acrylic re-cast of the metal replica, it's 1/3 as cheap as the metal one while still being an in-scale belt. I look to have my name engraved on the nameplate, I don't know if it's possible to even remove the nameplate.

I also don't know how am I suppose to display this belt.
Thu Jun 23, 2016 3:01 pm
Hang it up flat on your wall or put it like in your picture but in a display case
Fri Jun 24, 2016 12:00 pm
I see that Wrestling Superstore sells a belt hanger, which clips the belt vertically. I might give that a try.
