Woods to Toronto

Loren Woods goin to Toronto. I used to like him when he was at Arizona. I thought he had talent. I liked him even more when he got drafted by Minny. He's basically a dissapointment now. Hopefully Canada will bring him superstardom. He should of stayed in Charlotte. He could of had a chance to be a starter next to Okafor

He does have a ton of potential. He was projected to be top 3 his junior year. Then he went back to college for his senior year and showed absolutely no effort and didn't produce. Add on the back problems and that dropped him into the 2nd round. He's lazy, terrible work ethic, etc. Once he gets that together, he's servicable, depending on how much he works on his game as well. I don't think he'll get much playing time, unless Araujo and Moiso stink it up or get injured. Or any of the big men (Bosh, Marshall, the two aforementioned) get injured. He couldn't get off the bench in front of Wang Zhizhi last year.

He basically got a training camp invite.

Woods signed a two-year, $1.7 million US contract that is not fully guaranteed. If Woods is released before Jan. 10, the Raptors would only owe him earnings up to that point. If he remains on the roster past that date, the contract is guaranteed for the rest of the season and the following season.

The contract also includes incentives that could push the value to $2 million.
