You dont understand Gary Paytons situation, if he would only care about the money he wouldnt sign with the Lakers in the first place. He does want to play for the Celtics, but he doesnt want to play IN Boston, he doesnt want to move his family from the west to the eastcoast over and over.

Arrogant players do not only care about the money, they think/know they are better then anyone else.

Kevin Garnett
Kobe Bryant
Tracy McGrady
Shaquille O´Neal
Allen Iverson
LeBron James

etc are all arogant in my eyes

depends on what you call arrogant. Arrogant in the NBA is different than arrogant in our lives.

It's a buisness and they do what's best for them.

No, actually Riot's right. KG shouldn't be on that list. KG isn't as cocky as other players, and doesn't really complain about money either, you hardly even hear him say anything about money and plus,i haven't seen his house on mtv cribs, and bet's how i'm living. he goes out and plays, shows his emotion, and wins. kobe nah. shaq. nope.

well everything MikeBibby said is true. but a "chosen one" tattoo, that's just too much. the only reason he probably beacuse he was nationally known in his sophomore year. but if i were him, i'd put it on, when i'm for sure i am a future hall of famer, he might have that tat on all his life, and he might only have a career of 12,000 points, which is really sorry. so it just might be, a waste.

just need to say, someone mentioned that kg dont care about the money. thats wrong. KG refused to play til they paid him over 100 mil. it happened awhile ago but it still happened. i dont think he would do that now but that kid flat our refused to play til they gave him the biggest contract ever. then he had the nerve to say at the press conference that it was not about the money.

I don't know if we could say he's arrogant, but he seems pretty damn cocky to me. The "he"? Shaquille O'Neal...

He under-rates opponents (see the Queens fiasco, albeit funny as hell.)

I think he does it to psyche himself up, but it comes off as arrogance.

I'd say Kobe too, but I think that's how he's made out to be because he's so self involved. He doesn't really do much (not counting Kathleen Faber)...

KG didn't refuse. But come on, that doesn't make him arrogant now does it? Everyone in the NBA wants to be paid 100 + mill KG has the ability to actually get it though.

And in most of these talks about contracts the player really has no say. The agent is normally the one being greedy, not the player.

thats true, but when you are that good, you should deserve money for working your ass off and getting paid 30 mil.but what about kobe's contract. 136.4 mil / 7 yrs. , does that sound arrogant.
