We've all been wondering about why Fox chose now to annunce a release date for Deadpool, and while the overwhelmingly positive response to the leaked test footage undoubtedly played a role in that decision, it appears as if there was a lot going on behind the scenes as well. In the latest edition of the "Meet the Movie Press" podcast, the host revealed the following (at around the 22:00 mark) about some changes which have been made to the project. "I heard from the director that they finally figured out the script, and it was right before this was announced, that they figured out, and you guys are all gonna hate this, they figured out how to make it PG-13. And therefore "not lose its soul", and that' a quote, of the script so that they can make it."

I'll see it either way. The Kelly/Priest and Cable/Deadpool that are my mental versions of him could be PG-13 and passable.

the christmas trailer was even better than the first. excitement level rising

REally trying not to watch trailers, cuz trailers basically give away the best parts of the movie nowadays. Can't wait for this one to come out

They may have done alternate shots/lines for the trailers, if you watch the two you'll notice that the same scenes play out with completely different dialogue. Especially the jokes.

Parts of the same two action scenes are the main ones in both trailers.

This comes out in about five-six weeks. This first five months of the year is going to be crazy for comic films. Deadpool, BatmanvSuperman, Civil War, X-Men: Apocalypse.

i agree with benji, i feel like they shot some of these lines just for the trailers

yeah i'm pretty sure they did. And it's all totally reusable since he's got a mask and you can't tell what he's actually saying so you can voice over with whatever lines you want.

movie was great. its a comedy with a superhero in it, not a superhero movie. go in with that expectation and enjoy.
