WWE Network Launches Internationally; Introduces $12.99/Month Plan

The company has also rolled out new payment plans and they’re different than what was previously stated. The $9.99/month plan with a 6 month commitment is still available and you can pay for all 6 months at once at $59.94. The biggest change is a new $12.99/month subscription that is available with no commitment that can be canceled at any time. This is $7 cheaper than what the company stated in their last conference call.

Watched Survivor Series 1998 tonight. Got through about an hour of it perfectly fine, but after that there were occasional pauses for buffering and skipping of several seconds for no reason. Nothing too major, though. Weirdly, everyone but the commentators was allowed to say "WWF" as much as they liked, but it was muted on commentary around 90% of the time.

Several annoyingly conspicuous beeps to censor language, and Austin's middle fingers were pixellated instead of being blurred. It's annoying enough that they feel the need to censor these things at all, but to do it that blatantly...ugh.

I find the live stream confusing. It seems to list the next show as the current show, or something. Either that or I happened to catch filler segments between one show and the next. Didn't really spend much time with the live feed, though.

check this - http://network.wwe.com/video/v31681983 around the 57 minute mark to the 1 hour mark, censored at all?

Should be ECW Heatwave 99, the Dudley's "riot" stuff where they swore at the crowd.
Opinions are my own.

First click, skipped straight to 56:42 and D-Von saying "shut the fuck up." Am I good or what? Didn't check it out past that; I figure if they left that alone it'd all be there.

Weird that they'd leave that alone but butcher SS98. Unless it was originally censored like that? I doubt it would've been, being PPV, though. The language I can understand a bit, as it was just the ring mics accidentally picking things up rather than promos, but FFS just killing the audio for a second gets you the same result without being so damn obvious about it.

EDIT: Still had Heatwave open in another tab, continued watching it. Bubba: "Just being in this miserable piece of shit city makes me fucking s**k!" Uh...what the hell?

At least y'all get the network. All we get is a pay TV channel showing best of WWE Network stuff and 12 on demand PPVs lol. Severely watered down version for $12.99.

Yeah, that has to be a disappointment. Seems WWE got an offer from Rogers that they couldn't refuse, though if the Network had been doing better, perhaps that would've given them pause.

If Rogers gave the NHL a $5.2 Billion TV deal, then they probably gave the WWE a lot of money. I wouldn't say in the billions but it must be a whole lot. What also sucks is that Rogers is exclusive to Eastern Canada, so us westerners would have to wait at least a couple of months for other service providers to sign off on getting the Network.

Lol fans making $9.99 signs now and even the wrestlers making scripted jokes about it. It actually might catch on as a running joke, but it might get a few people to actually buy it too

That 9.99 is too much, I mean they shove it in our throat as long as they can. I can handle the app and the network promotion by the announcers, but man, promoting it in a superstar promo (oh wait please rephrase me if you got confused, I'm not that good in English)? it's really annoying.

And now they have the flag.

Meanwhile, I certainly don't regret my investment in the WWE Network. Should be fun taking a trip down memory lane, as well as catching up on a few things that I missed when my interest waned a bit.

The new WWE logo has been released and is now on-use. Probably gonna debut on-screen tomorrow on SummerSlam.

And with that, a 'new' WWE title belt:

Not much changed except that "CHAMPION" is no longer on the center plate. And people have speculated that the side plate has Brock's logo in it.

I still miss the Undisputed title belt.

Hard to hate on something that has literally caused millions of dollars added donations over the last month (read the figures earlier today and this month saw something like 3x or 4x the donations of this month last year). If I knew someone with ALS I'd just be happy people were donating and raising awareness. Nobody is being hurt and I'd much rather a popular social media trend at least be rooted in helping people, which this is. Its not like this is planking or something.
