90's NBA Season Mod RELEASED 2000 Season soon!

but man, if i can give u a tip, do not include 99/00 season. This season change so many things, from whole arenas, courts, many many jerseys, logos, 99/00 is a start of new era from my point of view and believe i know what im talkin bout haha

Agreed with skoadam Ray. Do not burn yourself out. There are alternate mods for other seasons out there on 2k13 and 14 that take care of 2000. Besides your goal was to do A DECADE. seasons 90-99 is exactly 10 seasons so unless you feel like doing all that extra for 1 season which is not apart of the decade then do so but im happy either way

I agree with suirad & sko as well bro, 90's was a special unit ya know ? 2000 had a lot of change, it didn't fit wit this era, and it is going to be extremely more on you man, i know you a beast in the modding game, but i would let this one flow smooth 90's.

I got to admit with you guys, because of 2000 mod, you really had your points, really it's true the the league started to change their logos, jerseys, courts, arenas and etc. it is started like the new generation and of course at the time it was millenium, well i think Ray should decide by himself it's up to him. I already said my opinion like you guys said yours and i'd like to see-have 2000 mod in this project too, but of course i agree NBA's old school basketball was till 1998-1999 season (1999 mod).

I just finished up the 95 roster, bout to work on 96 97 98 and 99. everything is coming along smooth. also i made some changes to the music with more 90's jock and arena jams as well. i was gonna release another beta but i will keep going for one last complete 90's mod then final release

Great previews bro, Penny looks very stylish with those blue pinstripe jersey I see you worked on Horace Grant goggles, so they now a blue like it was in Orlando days. About music i hope something about intro sound of nba live 98, nba on fox i posted before. About another beta version, well if you want of course, then i could help you checking the mods.

As far as the music I'm not sure what you and Amber were getting at . I was always under the impression that what plays on the menu is also what plays in the arena. If that is the case then I don't think themes from old games would work. At the end of the day it's your game Ray so do what you feel is cool The screens of the music list you had before looked good.Also, can't we make a playlist for custom arena music like on the console versions? I don't have 2k14 on pc yet so just wondering.

Since 2k12 there has been a way through editing to have arena sounds seperate from the menu music. For example, you can add a custom menu soundtrack, and keep all default arena music the same. Or you can keep the default menu music, and have edited arena/event sounds. To get the custom menu soundtrack to play in arenas, it would take editing completely different sound files. They are not tied together. The clips in the arena music are seperate trimmed down clips, thats why if you notice the songs never start from the beginning, and they also are edited to have an arena sound to them rather than a menu sound.

I believe this forum member figured out a way to edit arena sounds aka event.bin He replaced the default ones with NBA Jam songs for example.

xoamberxo222, Yes i figured out the arena music i talked to agolden already. Might i add that this by it's self completes the mod to a whole new level. I call timeouts just to listen to them lol. Just like how i did with the nba live 95 project on 2k12, i edited them to a loud echo sound so it sounds realistic This is really gonna turn heads sis.

Looks AMAZING Ray!!! Great work as always man...got a special folder ready for this mod (we are already at 32 gb w/ ubr and add-ons lol!!!)...I think around 300 gb of my tb drive is different 2k14 folders for various presentations . Glad to be adding another though. If I may throw in my 2 cents I also like the 90s jock jammish style music as opposed to video game music. Sounds like you might have added some jock jams and such from the sounds of it. Either way it is awesome! Very very cool that you and agolden collabed to get the event music figured out you are right in that this will take the mod up a whole nother level

maybe i'm the only one with this opinion here, but i think that you should have stayed with initial plan to release 1999/2000 season as a last one for this mode.

if you started this mode with 89/90 season, then i don't see a reason to end it with 98/99. it would make sense if first season was 90/91, but since you started with 89, then it's logical to end with 99/00, like you had it in mind in the first place.

but, the call is yours, just my 50c.

also i don't understand why some users bring up again that discussion about theme, when we all voted for TNT one. why debating again? ut would just take extra time for you. TNT was also initial plan and it should be released as TNT.

Check the 1st page. Almost everyone said said NBA on NBC. TNT was only going to be the choice because Ray had already done his initial work on that. But according to Ray there will be an option both NBC and TNT so it is all good and nothing will go to waste

no you are not the only one with this opinion, i also want that this project has 1999-2000 mod as a finšal, so your thoughts has a good point i agree with, but i guess not many chance on this one, unless Ray change his mind and add 2000 Mod to the project, i would lie if i said i don't want that mod but it's up to Ray

RayHoops1, If we started talking about sounds, as a big old school fan i remember when watched the games and players shooting free throws, or just played the game and hitting their shots, back when you could hear the SWISH sound once they hit the shot? do you remember or know what i'm talking about? is that would be possible to do in this project?

As i mention already we know, that 2000 mod is in the UBR, but we like to have 2000 mod in this project and it is a great mod too which could finish the decade of 1990-2000. I want to play with with Frontcourt 2000 Suns (Penny-J-Kidd), Trail Blazers (Arvydas Sabonis and CO, Sabas was half step in the NBA Finals, if not the Lakers, i guess he could have really good chance to win a ring) and etc. In my opinion this was last good NBA season i like.

WOW, that is awesome i really want that 2000 mod as final mod of this project. Just take your time, we don't want to rush you and i understand that you long time working with this project, so it's normal to feel tired, hope everything will be all right and you can able get this project finished as you promise
