All three Wyatts lose, Miz gets the IC belt, Cesaro eliminated by Heath Slater, advertising Rollins/Ambrose and getting 'this could be MOTY' hype before canceling it...

Cena being the champion makes sense, even if it isn't what the IWC at large wants to see. Cena/Lesnar makes sense, even if it isn't what the IWC at large wants to see. With Daniel Bryan being out indefinitely at this juncture, go with the proven face and draw. It doesn't me we have to like it, of course, but it's understandable why they're going that route.

Pulling a bait and switch like that with the Ambrose/Rollins match, on the other hand, is terrible form. I guess they figure they can weather the outrage with the WWE Network and PPVs now being "special events", but...well, people still have to renew that subscription, and they still want to see what's advertised. You can still extend the program to Summerslam (or even beyond), all the while getting more heat on Rollins and The Authority, without doing something cheap like that.

loved the double splash by the Usos. It was pretty obvious the Miz was either going to win or lose to the winner after he rolled out and hung out on the floor the first time. Dammit, so close to a Ziggler win, but I guess this sets up a feud between the two where hopefully Ziggler wins. I think putting the belt on Ziggler is a low-risk option if they're concerned about him staying healthy since the IC belt only gets defended at PPVs

99% of the planet doesn't have access to the Network. They seem to have forgotten this. International audiences don't get the pre-show matches anymore, the NXT specials don't air here despite NXT airing here...I'm sure there are other things they've done that are similar, but I don't recall them at the moment.

They only issue I have with that is that they leaked it months ago, removing any doubt. Outside of the fact that they can never give Cena another world title run again, it's not really an issue, particularly if they want Brock to go over (which they should). Somehow continuing to bury the Wyatts, despite Bray going up against a guy who hasn't won a match in years on the other hand...

Except it apparently doesn't.

I have no statistics at hand here, but that doesn't sound right at all. It even went through a stage where it was pretty much a TV-only title.

I guess what I meant was that it gets completely ignored until they need to fill in a spot on a PPV and make a title match with only 1 or 2 weeks of build-up

one of the best uses of a no-sell imo

I really don't want to argue about E right now, but there is no need to have Cena and Brock be for the title. Neither need it, just elevate Cena to 'taker levels like when Punk had the belt and let him "main event" without it.

At some point "slow burn" just turns into merch selling, seriously, E isn't too concerned with the wrestling product, so all they do now is promote the Network (which is still worth it IMO) and merch.

I mean, its not about the heels winning anymore, fans are too knowledgeable about the product to be able to take part timers winning "meaningless" matches or the constant flow of "OMG UNPRECEDENTED 6-MAN TAG" every, single, Raw, and, Smackdown.

I think it just sucks because we know they can put out a good product, use Cena effectively, etc. But instead its all pussyfooting and safe and then we wonder why Cesaro isn't going anywhere or how the fuck Bray is on a losing streak and isn't taken seriously anymore. Same ol' shit. At least I am just a few weeks away from seeing (major TNA spoiler in the coming weeks) that damn Dixie character put through a table and getting written off TV. I know what is going to happen and I'm still hyped.

TNA hid the fact they hired Russo and they might lose their TV deal with Spike and collaboration with Wrestle-1 over it.
http://www.cagesideseats.com/tna-impact ... -russo-tna
So, let me get this straight: Spike TV hates Russo, Wrestle-1's front office doesn't trust Russo, fans don't like Russo, no one likes Russo. So, TNA thought the best move was to hire Russo, then hide that they did? Man, all you can do is sigh and shake your head.

Aye aye aye

And down goes TNA
TNA Wrestling's flagship show "Impact Wrestling" could soon be without a home -- Spike TV quietly let the league know it's not renewing their TV contract … TMZ has learned.

Multiple sources with direct knowledge of the deal ... tell us Spike execs contacted TNA President Dixie Carter late last week to break the news -- and the following day Carter informed members of her inner circle.

TNA's current deal with Spike reportedly runs through October. It's unclear at this point when "Impact Wrestling" will stop airing on Spike.

We're told there's no bad blood, and Spike gave TNA such advance notice so it would have time to shop for a new TV deal.

TNA's show debuted on Spike TV in October 2005 -- and helped the league rise to #2 on the wrestling scene … behind the WWE.

We've called TNA and Spike for comment ... so far, no word back.

Well, should at least make things interesting....sucks that this happens right when the awesome NYC tapings are airing.

according to interwebs
Meltzer has said this:

- Russo was majorly responsible for the cancellation.
- They will run until October.

This is pretty funny, yet very sad tbh.

Edit: Sad because their deal with Wrestle-1 deal probably goes to shits.

I was reading an article on Yahoo about how they thought that the new Xavier Woods stable is bad. It seemed like the writers couldn't make up their mind on whether they actually wanted to push him or not, and I was curious why he as a "small guy" was promoted to the main roster. The article mentioned that he was Consequences Creed in TNA and I remember that name from my TNA watching days, but i don't remember watching much of him. I was a big fan of Jay Lethal though.

should guys that come from other promotions need to spend time in development and get launched when the bosses say they're ready or are fans knowledgeable enough to know who someone is when they show up?

Noooooo

I liked him. They've done a lot of things to take away from ABR's awesome character since his debut like slightly changing his music and taking away the exotic cars, but taking away his personal ring announcer was probably the worst.
