Who do you think is this years team to beat?
I am going to have to go with Denver but alot of talent and players are floating are from team to team so it can be anyones year. IMO.
Wed Aug 04, 2004 2:57 am
The Spurs

Every team is a team to beat.
The most important ofcourse being the Detroit Pistons, who doesn't want to beat the NBA Champions?
Spurs after that.

Wolves can take the Spurs, pssssssssssssssssst.
That's crazy talk. Spurs over Wolves, yeah right! Duncan over KG! Yeah right! What does Duncan have on KG besides 2 rings and 1 more MVP...pst...
ok, that was bad.
I think Wolves are better. I mean come on, we went like the whole season without Troy Hudson, half without Wally Szczerbiak, and like a 1/4 without Olowokandi. yet we still got the #1 seed in the west. That's impressive. We will just have even MORE chemistry. And KG is always getting better.

Detroit (obviously) and San Antonio are the first two names that come to mind. Minnesota and Indiana are also up there. It's tempting to throw Miami into the mix, but as I said a while ago in another thread a lot of people are placing too much stock into Shaq's desire for revenge. Having said that, I still consider them a larger threat than last year.
Wed Aug 04, 2004 5:35 pm
Too early to tell, but here it goes IMO:
Detroit
San Antonio
Indiana
Minnesota
Sacramento
Miami
Denver
Wed Aug 04, 2004 6:26 pm
For Bobcats it would be the NBA...
FOr Miami it would be kobe.
For anyone else...the NBA's team to beat should be: Detroit. That's the only team to beat- especially cause they got stronger...if they start losing everyone will be hating on them!
Wed Aug 04, 2004 10:33 pm
given that the Pistons won I'll place them at #1 with the Spurs a close #2. Then the T'wolves
Wed Aug 04, 2004 11:29 pm
it be interestin to see a miami vs lakers finals. i reckon the teams to beat will be:
detroit
miami
lakers (despite i hate them they still might make it to playoffs plus the new divisions set up for next season)
indiana
spurs
minnesota
