heheh yes I know, I was just kidding... anyway it was an important exibition, for italy and dream team, in my opinion here in europe basketball is improving and it's different than there, in usa basketball is more spectacular, here there is more mind, technique and similar things that I think usa basketball have to learn.

Get a grip on yourself.

It's improving, no doubt.

But saying USA needs to learn "mind, technique & similiar things" is crock.

On what basis are you saying these things? Enlighten me.

Mind? What do you call AI's will to win? Shit? Perhaps...

Technique? What do you call Tim Duncan? A fart? Maybe..

Spare me.

:D I don't say Iverson is a shit or Duncan what else, they are great players, I only say european/italian basketball and us basketball is different... we play thinking more on things and maybe we are less spectacular than your playing mode and there are little different rules (like travelling i think it's called, we say "passi"... i don't remember how you call it)... but i repeat, it's only a my opinion :)

what's up with the travelling violations today? They all looked ok to me ... but I don't know what the refs were smoking. That Lebron James dunk was sick .. but it was called back because he took two steps? C'mon. But yeah ... we got our asses whopped by Italy. The Basile guy is pretty good.

Well .... that lebron james dunk was completely legit ... he just took two steps. How is that travelling? Out of the 8 travelling violations against the US, I disagree with 5 of them.

Urgh... you people do realize the NBA allow travels in the name of entertainment? Those "2 steps" were probably preceded by a bunch of shuffles to get himself into position. I haven't seen any of the calls, but I agree with all of them... just because I've seen the NBA, and I know what they're like.

I agree with what you're saying ... but he did not shuffle his feet at all before attempting that dunk.

NBA players travel all the time.....this is gonna be hard to get gold. A bunch of no name players kicked USA's ass, although it was a exhibition game i'm sure it was serious for LB. AI needs to pull out his And1 moves, as does Marbury and I'm sure Wade already uses them.

IMO, And1 moves are just going to get more traveling violations called :lol: Put that aside I think the USA will be fine but the team is very young(a lot of rookies and sophomores) and they will make mistakes. If they can cut down the turnovers, I'd say USA could get gold. USA is by far the most talented team but they just have to use it out on the court.

:shock:

Based on what I've read about the game, "Team" USA played like a bunch of individuals whereas the Italians played like an actual team. I think just because the USA has so much talent doesn't mean you can discount the other teams just because their players aren't in the NBA. I think this win, even though it was an exhibition game, will give alot of the other teams confidence against USA, because Italy aren't the best team in Europe. Also, not too long ago (about a month) Italy only just beat Australia...

A bunch of no name players kicked USA's ass

They're not no name players in Europe.

I only think "Dream Team" have to pay attention at europeans teams, us players and maybe us fans don't know nothing about european basketball, europeans know all about nba basketball, maybe also how many times shaq or who goes to the toilet.

when i said "And1" i meant crossovers and not showboating. Lets face it, the crossover and various other dribbles are an integral part of the game...Tim Hardaway was a master at getting past defenders with this move and we all know that nobody can stop AI, or Stephon or Wade for that matter.

Secondly, defensive intensity will be important. They need a defensive stopper. KG is missing, and if anybody remembers 2000, KG bailed USA many times on defense. I'd be inclined to run full court presses and traps 90% of the game, they have enough depth.

Outside shooting will be dismal.....too bad theirs no Hamilton or Allen or Redd (I know that Hamilton isn't a great 3 point shooter but the Int. 3pnt line is closer and Hamilton can hit the deep 2 with ease)

My prediction

Gold = Spain
Silver= Serbia ( Yugoslavia )
Bronze= Italy

US team, they are great players individually but basketball is a team effort.

Maybe fantasy:

Gold: Italy
Silver: Argentina
Bronze: Spain

Maybe true:

Gold: Argentina/USA
Silver: USA/Argentina
Bronze: Italy

Pay attention to Germany, Serbia and Spain.
