Seems like it's a good PPV. My brother and I had a chat re: WWE wrasslin' and we both agreed the shows are better than how it was pre-Punk's departure. While koberulz won't agree for sure, I do think the shows are better. The Sheamus-Titus match on Raw was just there, a match with no storyline. I miss those days where they put in a match for no reason. Just a match.

It does sound like a good show. I think the Wyatt/Cena stuff has definitely been good for Cena's character; it still needs tweaking, but I like how they're playing up Bray as a master of mind games who has successfully gotten in Cena's head. His psychology is fantastic, he's done a great job with that character.

Cena winning out of nowhere at WM, then grinning like an idiot, doing Photoshop gags on Raw, responding to last week's Raw opener by cracking jokes about donkeys, then basically winning a three-on-one handicap cage match before being stopped at the last minute by a fourth guy at Extreme Rules is doing absolutely nothing for Wyatt whatsoever.

Things are better than they were pre-Rumble (I have no idea why anyone would think I'd disagree with that), but they're worse than they were between that and post-Mania Raw. Bryan and AJ being off TV hasn't helped, but Cesaro's heel turn and booking Paige against various people nobody cares about who can't work have been particularly poor decisions.

Solid all-around PPV. This is usually the best card of the year, but they definitely stepped it up a notch this year. Agreed on the WeeLC match, that shit was awesome. There were some really really cool spots in the show; basically everything in WeeLC (even a mini announce table!), RVD's usual, Rollins arena dive, Tamina spinning Paige into the barricade, and Kane's fire table, even though the surprise was given away by guys w/ extinguishers beforehand. All really great, solid old-school type matches. There was a bit of nostalgia in tonight's ppv.

that's the point of it though, at least how I am interpreting it. Finally embracing the super-Cena and using it as a character. Someone who psychologically taunts their opponent with silly photoshops and gags....who then has the little make-a-wish kids turn on him in retaliation. They showed, yet again, that Cena is unbeatable, with how many times the family had to distract or interfere last night. Especially with the finish involving the kid.

That's what I meant by superhero/supervillian. No one can beat him, so I/WWE don't consider him a normal wrestler but the superCena we hate, and him finally going "but, whyyyyyyyyy, liiiike meeeeee" and Wyatt providing that cattle prod to egg him on. This is beyond the Cena v Rock stuff where they billed him as a comparable legend. And what I love the most is the announcers maintaining some reality, with "who keeps turning the lights out?" and acknowledging that the kid's voice probably doesn't actually sound like that, using a voice changer. No kayfabe supernatural, just freaky/weird.

Just reading WeeLC is making me laugh. Judging from Jao and Qballer comments, is that match actually pretty good? Also I know about the PPV today which is weird but then again I don't have an FB anymore to spoil it for me lol.

I thought it was good. It was just spot to spot to spot with comedy bits and at least entertaining commentary. It was a fun match

This event was eons better than WrestleMania was. The matches were generally interesting, and I enjoyed myself substantially more. I wish the WWE would create a whole Wee Division to kick off every show. The WeeLC match was unbelievably entertaining. Put me in an awesome mood for the remainder of the show. Cesaro so desperately needs new tights. The guy is awesome. I love that he's balding with a scruffy beard. I love his uppercuts and his general move set. But those tights and goofy thigh bands make him look so strange, it's a distraction while watching him. Get the guy some knee pads and a decent pair of trunks. Sweet to see RVD still doing RVD things. I smoked weed with him after an ECW Event at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in like 1999 or 2000. Guy was cool as hell. Nice to see him still working well a decade and a half later. The Russian dude Rusev sucks. He's the worst. I hope I never see him on TV ever again. Big E also sucks. Get him off my TV. Let Rusev and Big E wrestle to the death. They suck. I think Barrett could be awesome if given the proper gimmick. It appears they're pushing him regardless. Bray Wyatt's gimmick continues to be my favorite in the entire WWE. A weird mixture of The Following and True Detective. I'd really like to see them turn Cena, in the holier than thou type of manner they did with Kurt Angle during his "it's true, it's true" days. I think it's something he could be successful with. The Daniel Bryan/Kane match was underwhelming, but mainly because I'm not a fan of the matches that spread throughout the arena. It used to be real commonplace, and I didn't like it then. It's just kicks and punches and hitting with random staged objects. Pretty good spot with the flaming table, but to be honest, there were 2 or 3 spots in the WeeLC match that were more impressive, as was Rollins' stage dive. I said to Jao last night, I would like to see all 3 Shield members get legitimate singles pushes. Roman Reigns seems to be the future Main Eventer of the group, but Rollins and Ambrose both look to be able to carry a match with their work. I'd also like to see them get out of those lame SWAT uniforms. If you're not the Big Bossman, that look doesn't work.

"So, we've got this guy who's really popular on the internet, and we've given him the title even though we'd rather not, and now we have to find something for him to do. Why don't we pair him up with one of the Divas for no reason and have them run away from Kane? Maybe they could try to escape the arena, but their car doesn't work? It worked really well last time!"

*sigh*

Also:
JBL: Did Emma sneak across the border?
Cole: She's from Australia.
JBL: That's not what I asked. Did she sneak across the border?
Cole: Australia doesn't border the US, so...
JBL: It borders something.

Go grab a map, John. I'll wait.

Still, absolutely terrible, and one of the internal people said to dirt sheets that the feeling is Yes! is over and not Bryan....which is why it worked so well when they tried putting it on Show or del Rio right?

Their relationship was never mentioned on-screen until Brie randomly appeared in the ring the night Kane killed him, and she's served no purpose whatsoever in the angle thus far, except for turning Bryan into a chickenshit.

Might be a couple days late on this, but really hoping this doesn't happen. :(

Source: PWInsider
It was announced in Japan this morning that Pro Wrestling NOAH star KENTA will be leaving the promotion on May 17th.

We noted earlier this year that KENTA spent a week at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, working an informal tryout and training with some of the NXT talents. KENTA returned to Japan and downplayed his time at the Performance Center. He later wrote a blog about always wanting to get a spot in WWE. KENTA claimed to Japanese media that he wasn't seeking a WWE deal but he would consider it if WWE offered.

Speculation now is that KENTA is headed to WWE but that's not confirmed yet. He's been with NOAH since they launched.

Edit: Not sure if anyone follows the Japanese scene but AJ Styles is the new IWGP Heavyweight Champion

JBL's commentary has been atrocious. He's been making Lawler's nonsense somewhat rational. He tries too hard to say say great things about heels/bad things about faces but mixes in his own inside knowledge and messes up a lot. And he also repeats the same things week after week and makes the same jokes.

A lot of smarks seem to be fans of his commentary, but I've never cared for it. I feel that Cole's been decent since they ended his heel run - heel play-by-play guys just don't work, in my opinion - and Lawler has his moments, but to me JBL is just dead weight.

Yep. But I kinda prefer her Lana persona. DAT ASS. AWW SHUCKY DUCKY QUACK-QUACK!

EDIT: Just seeing Extreme Rules, man that botch on the referee's count after Paige's sunset flip-powerbomb spot: THAT'S CLEARLY A THREE-COUNT. They should've improvised and ended it there instead of revoking the count. Paige obviously looked confused and the crowd at the front rows reacted. That referee had one job.
