Professional Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH, etc)

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

Cesaro v Cena tonight is worth a watch. Not quite Punk Cena, but damn good either way.
Opinions are my own.

Sadly, not altogether surprising given his weight issues, but certainly a shame to hear that it reached the point where it ended his life in his early 40s. RIP.

- Because TNA's crowds are so small, they often have to write a check to the arena to get out as opposed to doing what everyone else does, which is the arena gets its cut out of the final settlement. Apparently this past December when TNA ran at Temple University, they had to write the building a $15,000 check because the money they took in that night couldn't even cover what they owed to the arena for renting the place.

I don't think TNA has much longer.

That always seems to be suggested about TNA and they've managed to pull through so far, but if stuff like that is true then it's looking bleak.

He'll certainly have to do so before he returns to face Lesnar at WM XXX. As Kevin Nash proved in TNA, it's not a great look.

Whether you know him as Undertaker or not he still looks like an old man that you don't want to mess with.

Thing is, he's more likely be in that spokesman/occasional television appearance role compared to a major player in storylines, as he was in TNA. That's fine and will probably help sell the WWE Network to old school/lapsed fans.

EDIT: WWE Confirms Hulk Hogan For Raw, Wrestlemania 30 Guest Host

WWE confirmed on dot com on Friday afternoon that Hulk Hogan has returned to the company and will host Wrestlemania 30 on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

He will appear on next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Green Bay, Wisconsin and will serve as a promotional mechanism for WWE Raw Backstage Pass, a new show that premieres live on WWE Network following Raw.

i read an article that made it seem like he could still wrestle, but iirc his back is fucked. spokesperson is probably the best thing for him at this point, although i dont want to see him taking time away from anything actually interesting happen on raw

Yeah, he's in pretty rough shape. There's always talk of "one more match", but from the sounds of things even that would be pushing it. He's definitely way past wrestling full-time, if nothing else.

They need to give the Fucking Machine Suplex a name before the existing one catches on, though.

Hell of a match. Unfortunately, means I spent three hours watching Raw only to find it's succeeded in clearing me no space on the iQ hard drive. Bloody Cena. :x

Dish has decided not to carry any more WWE PPVs, including Elimination Chamber. I wonder if they'll blame Daniel Bryan for the horrendous buyrate anyway.

Jake "The Snake" Roberts has been diagnosed with cancer.

The 2014 WWE Hall of Fame inductee revealed to TMZ.com that he has a cancerous tumor behind his knee which is slowly expanding into his muscle. Last month, he noticed a tumor behind his knee the size of a half dollar so he had it tested. On Friday, doctors informed him that the test came back positive for cancer.

Roberts is scheduled to undergo surgery on Tuesday. He still has plans to wrestle for Jersey Championship Wrestling on March 14.

"If the devil can't defeat me, cancer doesn't stand a chance in hell! Pray for sick children who face this horrible disease 'cause The Snake will be just fine," said Roberts.

Regarding his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in April, Roberts says nothing will stop him from arriving to New Orleans, Louisiana for the ceremony.

Well shit.
