Professional Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH, etc)

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

Neither and its got nothing to do with sense of humor. Big Show was shamelessly kissing ass to Snoop Dogg.

Looks like Alexander Rusev will appear on Smackdown after his debut at the Rumble. Glad to see him make it from NXT and will probably be the next monster heel. At my work, his manager Lana was one of our clients just before she signed with WWE

That Dolph shoot promo makes me think the Punk walkout is a work. Miz was guest commentator for today's Raw, dropped his mic and walked away. Could lead to that 'talent walkout' angle in 2011.

I don't know about it being a work, but if they can bring him back before his contract is up in July, they'll no doubt try to make it into a work.

Alberto Del Rio has reportedly been letting it be know that once his contract with WWE is up, he will be leaving the company.

According to PWInsider, Del Rio hasn’t been happy with the direction of his character. He was once a main event player on the SmackDown brand as a World Champion, and now he is being fed to Batista.

While the match between the two hasn’t been officially announced, Batista vs. Del Rio will likely be added to the upcoming Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event.

Del Rio is 36-years-old and has several years of mileage on him. It’s believed that he’s been very good with his money and shouldn’t be in any financial trouble once he departs from the organization.

And now ADR is going.

I really liked his character at first. Really funny & cocky, and had his own ring announcer and drove in in fancy cars. Once he turned face, he got pretty lame. Seems like he has been an afterthought after losing the cars and losing Ricardo. I miss the "but you already know that" catchphrase.

ADR always struck me as a fairly run-of-the-mill rehash of Ted Dibiase mixed with JBL, with ring work that wasn't awful, but not particularly entertaining either. I felt he was pushed too hard too fast and spent too long in the main event scene. If he's on the way out, I can't say I'll miss him.

Looks like this confirms that the WWE Network logo is the new WWE logo.

Called it. But I think it's a good change. it's the 1st logo change since the change to the Attitude logo (getting the F out doesn't count) so what was that, about 15 years? It describes the company a bit better than the attitude logo.

They're probably waiting for launch of WWE network or after Wrestlemania or their annual post-WM re-branding of the shows.

Hah no worries Mr. Smith. I kinda remembered this photo (I wonder if this was ever published on an official WWE media outlet) upon hearing Punk leaving WWE.

I still don't buy the WWE network logo as being the new company logo. I mean the scratch logo is all that's left of the company it was before, and it doesn't feel like a wrestling promotion logo anymore. I know Vince would rather prefer his company as an entertainment company rather than a wrestling promotion, but eh, I think it doesn't fit the wrestling vibe of the company.

Though I think it's gonna be their new logo since I saw this:

I think this was when it was announced where WrestleMania 31 will be. That new logo looks good with gradients though.

According to Pwinsider.com, there was talk at the weekend WWE live events that CM Punk was given his official release from WWE on Friday. WWE has not confirmed the release at this time, and as of today, Punk is still shown on the Superstars page of WWE website. Pwinsider.com also notes that people that have spoken to Punk recently have stated that Punk has said he is done.

Still no confirmation of that. WWE's current policy is to avoid releasing anyone, preferring to just pay them out so it doesn't look like they're firing anyone. That's why the original Sin Cara was kept around until his deal ran out. I doubt Punk would walk away from the money and Vince McMahon is reportedly still hopeful that he can convince Punk to return.
