its kinda getting irritating right now that Jampasir still not released his shoe pack.. its January 10 man, come on already...

I see. Well too bad I can't even play 2K properly because I don't have a good PC. Funny how the guys who make the mods are the guys who can't play the game to its full potential.

At this point last year, we were only about to release the 8th version of the roster from v0.7 to v0.8. Now, we're already in the 3rd update for v0.8. Remember that last year we updated the shoes when me and jampasir teamed up in May, during a 3 month long hiatus. That's how long it took last year. So I don't really understand why you're saying that "It's already January 10, 2014" when last year his shoes were released on May 17, 2013. Let's also consider that I started editing the rosters this year one month after the game came out (October 30, 2013) when last year it took me 2 months before making my modding debut (November 28, 2012) so it's safe to say that we're pretty much ahead of time when it comes to updates. Counting the updates, I've done a total of 33 updates for NBA rosters.

Anyway I did v0.8c today (released Hilton Armstrong from the Warriors, did some ratings updates and edited Alexis Ajinca's jersey number) but I haven't posted it yet since it's so tiny. I also changed bases from the Default roster to the November 2 roster to see how it performs. It's the same roster in my PBA 2K14 update which just has 10 more teams.

I know right? How dare he not release a completely free mod that he never set a time frame for. What a set of balls he's got to think he has that right, eh? The nerve of some people...

Med, I've meant to bring this up forever, and just never got around to it. I love your work, you know that. We worked together some last year. You're an awesome guy. Love the amount of time you put into the game. A+ stuff from top to bottom. Great work again this year. But man the way you number your releases is crazy! 0.8c? This is like the 10th release of this season. If you're using the tenth's place of a number, you don't need letters as well. After 10 releases, you should be at v1 by now :lol: 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc. Ditch the letters! :D (Y) (Y)

The letters are actually a reminder whether the updates are small or big and whether it requires a new pack of Main Directory Files or just Appdata updates.

v0.1 - Appdata (Beta)

v0.4 - Appdata (Completed Missing Players on Current & Retro) [Had Missing Files, then incorporated to Main Directory 2]

v0.8c is actually the 15th update this year. Although It looks like I'm going to do a large update for v0.8d or v0.9. I've encountered several problems that I've noticed in the rosters. First, the Pistons and the Pelicans have jersey numbers on the shorts. I checked the base I used and it didn't have it. I'm even sure of that. Now I'm really curious if there's a hidden parameter in rosters that can affect that, along with jersey number position. Second, some Power Forwards are spotting up on the 3 PT line despite having 0 3 PT Tendency, 100 Post Up, etc. I believe this has something to do with the playbooks that I copied over from slimm because it has the same issue. Can anybody else confirm?

Sir Meds, kabayan I've noticed that also --- power forwards shoots 3PT.. like thaddeus young.. you are also right when you said pelicans and pistons have numbers in their shorts.. I hope you can FINALLY figure it out how to fix the issue.. GOD BLESS ALWAYS.. take care.. :D (Y) :lol:

No, they don't shoot they just spot up there. Thaddeus Young shoots 3 pointers in real life because he's a combo forward.

Thank You so much Med. I know it likely gets annoying with all of us whining or begging for you to fix this or that but i love your rosters and your Hornet mod makes the game so much more enjoyable for me since that is the team i play with. It works fine for me now. What were you saying about having to install the crowd file into the main directory?

Also i am sorry you can't play games in Max settings. It just makes me that much more appreciative of all your hard work.

Yea i've noticed PF's playing around the 3pt line as well in mycareer. btw, when i was going through the draft in mycareer, i noticed that the players announced by David Stern is glitched. For example Stern would announce Tristan Thompson as the first pick. Even though Anthony Bennett still shows up on the Cavs & he's shown as the first pick and Thompson stats & info shows up fine, the announcement part in the draft is glitched because it mentions plenty of more players who've been in the league for awhile. I noticed this with the Hornets Assoc roster, but idk about the others. As always man thank you for making this game a lot better.

Yes I've seen PF's show up on 3pt line even though they aren't shooters. You know, Z-Bo, Ed Davis, etc.

You'll have to rename team713.iff to team031.iff ang replace the Bobcats crowd.

The Draft Projection tabs still aren't correct? I'll fix it. lol.

I'll check whether it's the Coach Profiles because some teams don't seem to have that problem. But I'm damn sure I didn't change anything when converting the rosters..

Sir Meds, kabayan.. censya na akala ko kasi di normal yung pagshu shoot ni thaddeus young sa 3PT area.. :cry: nwei, MIAMi's game today against the NETS, they wear home white jersey and black acc. but nickname jerseys not their surnames on it (Y) .. If ever someone will make that kind of nickname jersey, I hope you can add those jersey slots..

The playbooks aren't the issue imo...btw, in the 0.8b update, it seems like playbooks have been resetted to an earlier stage with the Bulls back to having only 22 PnRs and nothing else. The roster you released around christmas had Slimm's complete plays, but in the latest rosters they're incomplete for some reason. Checked all 4 versions of both the Hornets and w/o Hornets data.

Since there are no hotspots this year, we can't influence freelance spot up behaviour. One issue could be the roll vs fade tendency for big men. 2k actually has it reversed for all players without even noticing. The first thing you'll see starting games with any random team is guys like McGee and Dalembert fading to the 3pt line. If a player has a roll vs fade tendency of 0 (like many big men on the roster), it actually means his roll tendency is zero. The slider itself kind of indicates the opposite, and even 2k devs themselves don't know this. So in other words, a player like Dwight should have a roll vs fade value of 100 to make sure he doesn't use fade plays. Maybe that's causing your issue? With default roll vs fade tendencies, all big men are basically scripted to do the exact opposite from what they're supposed to in real life.

If someone would like to verify this here is what I did.
Set the starting 5 of a team with one player at each "level"(skip testing @ 1)
Create a playbook with one play each, Pick and Roll, PnR Fade Mid, PnR Fade 3, and PnR option.
Go into play assignments and set the players you edited to only have PnR Roll Man plays and look at the plays that are available to each player.

I don't know at which numbers the plays available switches at, but at those numbers those are plays you can give players.

This means guys like Dirk, Love, Ryan Anderson, etc, should have 'Pick and Roll vs. Fade set to 75. For players like Love who rolls more than the other two he will still do it, but the only time roll for sure should be on straight PnR plays.

I believe in Association you need to scout players to see their ratings. It's not roster related.
