Professional Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH, etc)

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

Is the former referring to the crowd in attendance while the latter refers to the television audience?

Guess that's how they're prolonging the Bryan/Orton angle until Survivor Series and preventing either from racking up another brief title reign.

so Triple Threat Hell in a Cell? it's too predictable.

watched the golddust & RVD match. nice to see a split-legged moonsault for the first time in forever. ive watched a few RVD matches since he's been back and he hasn't been doing that move

A non-finish could've possibly worked with better booking. They did it back in 1998 when the title was held up and Stone Cold was forced to referee a match between Undertaker and Kane for the vacant championship or else be fired. Austin ends up stunning them both, counting to three as they're both out and declaring himself the winner of the match, then Vince comes out and fires him. Of course, Austin was way over, the crowd loved seeing him throw a wrench in Vince's plans and it led to another twist and interesting moment in their rivalry. A new champion was then crowned at Survivor Series, with The Rock getting his first reign.

So the idea has merit and I can see what they were going for and why they did it, but the way the whole angle has been booked so far, it wasn't going to work out nearly as well as it did in 1998. It was about time that Big Show snapped, but unfortunately that part of the angle has been overshadowed by the non-finish.

Damn it Jon.

But personally, I like what they did with Bray Wyatt. It's a good thing to dump that generic Husky Harris character.

Hogan stays, booo
Hulk Hogan will be staying with TNA. TNA apparently offered Hogan more money than WWE did, F4Wonline.com reports.

It’s said that what WWE offered Hogan was nowhere close to what they’ve offered other stars in previous years. What Hogan will make in 1 year with TNA is about what The Rock and Brock Lesnar are making for 1 match with WWE.

Calling the "surprise" return of Hogan to interfere against Bully and give AJ the title at BFG. When in reality Hogan's contract might push AJ away because of the budget fun TNA is having.

Supposedly the WWE doesn't have a lot of interest in Styles, so even at a lower rate of pay TNA probably remains the most lucrative option for him, at least Stateside.

Sami Zayn, massively over babyface and indy star, tried to get a title shot but was refused constantly because he wasn't championship material. he eventually got a shot, which he won for a few seconds before the heel authority figure restarted the match. Zayn went on to be screwed out of the title.

"Creative" my ass.

didnt care much for BFG. Bully's PPV matches are really similar in pace and gimmicks now. Nothing too saveable, but a few wicked bumps

Looks like they're going ahead with the "champion leaves the company" angle that WWE did with Punk a couple of years back. WWE did kind of bungle it though, so there's an opportunity for TNA to try and do it better.

I still don't get why Cena gets an instant title shot. I get it that he's the WWE's main guy, but no lead-up to the match upon his return aside from Vickie announcing it, not even cut a promo, and not even win a so-called #1 Contender's battle royale to make things a bit more 'formal'.

I was hoping they wouldn't go that route with HBK costing Bryan the match, but it's not surprising that they did. I guess the feud continues.

Long term spoilerzzzz via dirt shites

Evidently we are looking at Bryan vs HHH at SS, or at some point in the near future. Then Bryan/Cena at WM with Bellas gals in their respective corners. Had to post that just so I could post :facepalm2:
