AJ was great again in that segment, King and JBL flat out sucked and did the angle no favours; the exact opposite of what the announcers are supposed to do. It's not surprising, King hasn't been the same since he and JR were split up and JBL is just dead weight in the booth. A lot of fans seem to love his commentary but I've always felt he was overrated in that department, both during his initial run alongside Michael Cole on Smackdown some years back and especially now that he's back. A great play-by-play guy could probably carry that booth but yeah, Cole.

Del Rio was so over, the crowd started chanting for Undertaker during his match with R-Truth.

I think a Punk/Heyman team would be the best commentary situation E could do right now.

He was pretty good at the table back in 2001, so I guess you could have a Bobby Heenan type situation where he commentates but he's also managing on the side.

The Goldust/Orton match was pretty good, even if the result was predictable. Apparently it impressed a lot of people backstage as well. It was nice to see Bryan get the last laugh at the end of RAW, though it telegraphs a loss at Night of Champions. They do need to start booking him more like Stone Cold during the Austin/McMahon feud of 1998.

Meanwhile, JR has abruptly retired.

WWE PPV posters 2 months in advance.
The New "Battleground" PPV is interesting (was hoping for some War Games gimmick matches which are more interesting than the usual 6 man tags). Ryback is on the poster.
Then curiously R-Truth (who has been a bit of a non-factor in the script) happens to be the guy on the one for Hell in A Cell. Yes, a black man in a cell. Coincidence? I tihnk not

I hate War Games. The 20 minutes before anyone can even do anything towards winning the match is silly. Making it elimination and having eliminations be able to occur at any time would improve the concept tremendously.

I'm way behind at the moment, because I've been binging on DVDs a bit, but I thought SmackDown was done well. They still had Randy Orton standing tall to end the show, but Bryan got the win over Black to finally show that he's actually competent, which is a side of him they've not really been showing thus far.

I've seen a lot of these before, but still funny especially the end to the Eddie/Rey ladder match and Kendrick admitting to fucking up

A few of those are just examples of in-character stuff, like Eddie in the ladder match, Orton after the RKO and Jericho and Batista responding to the fans yelling at them, which isn't quite the same as called spots being overheard. Still a fun compilation, though.

Why would Eddie the character think Vickie would be coming, and why would Eddie the person have Eddie the character say "motherfucker"?

Orton after the RKO

Wasn't that the one where he was meant to punt Kingston and Kingston wouldn't stay down for him?

Given the NoC result, I think I'm done. Giving him the belt and then taking it away umpteen times just means nobody will ever be happy when he wins it, because they're all expecting it to be taken away again. Way to kill a pop, morons.

Huh ..
Storytelling was pretty bad in the main event. Ref gets knocked out without any repercussions, comes back and makes a fast count that doesn't get acknowledged.

And that was a bit too soon for the face to overcome the odds. HHH is gonna strip him of the belt and fire the ref on RAW.

As I said before, I'd have them book Bryan like Stone Cold in 1998. So far, it's been a bit more along the lines of the McMahon-Helmsley era, circa 2000.

There was an interesting storyline proposed on another site. Bryan screwed over at NOC again, setup Wargames with HHH and Shield vs Bryan, Show, Henry, and ?. Show goes bezerk, HHH taps to Bryan. Then at SS Bryan over Orton clean. Continue fighting them down to defeat, Cena back at Rumble, Cena Bryan II at WM

Where Cena presumably goes over.

Seriously, they've managed to kill the heat of Punk, Ryder, Christian, Ziggler, Fandango, Ryback, the Shield and Danielson in the past two years, and that's just off the top of my head. Were it not for Ryback being on that list, you'd think it was intentional.

I really hope this starts to work out for TNA.

According to ProWrestling.net, as of today former TNA Knockout's Champion Mickie James is a free agent, as her contract with TNA Wrestling has officially expired. James dropped the title to ODB at last week's Impact Wrestling television taping, and according to the report, will not be signing a new deal with TNA.

not spoilered because I am the love TNA guy

How about Mickie James to WWE to feud with AJ, in a "Battle of the Psychos"?

Actually, it wouldn't be a huge surprise if she leaves wrestling for a while to focus on her music career, should TNA not re-sign her.

Yeah, that'd be much better. It still feels like Natalya would be on the wrong side of that, but since she's on the cast of Total Divas I guess that's just the way it would have to go.

(Raw spoilers) And in a shocking swerve that nobody saw coming Daniel Bryan is no longer WWE champion. His only hope at this point is that they hold off his victory until after the NFL is finished, so half the crowd hasn't followed this godawful angle and doesn't realise there's no reason to pop for his title wins anymore.

One of the things that bothers me the most is that the fast count was done after a finisher, and not on a quick rollup or something like that, where it's actually plausible that Orton could've kicked out.

Kayfabe wise, there was a very good chance that Orton would have not kicked out on normal count - the move even put Cena away - but a ref that has been with company for years could not judge that.

Shit like that just bothers me.

Back in July, I wrote:And seriously, how is it not blatantly obvious that you keep the belt on Bully until BFG, then put Magnus over clean? Beating Bully, on free TV, while making Sabin look weak as piss does absolutely nothing for anybody.

FFS, TNA.

Although I do find it somewhat amusing that WWE and TNA have managed to turn putting the belts on Bryan Danielson and AJ Styles into things the internet will yell at them for.

I've only read the recap up until the vacating of the belt, but is it possible the ref was ordered to fast-count by Triple H in any situation where Danielson was likely to win, so they'd have an excuse not to give him the belt? Would also explain the 'no interference' decree.

TNA is considering taking Impact Wrestling back to a singular location, PWInsider.com has confirmed. There are currently discussions about several different locations the company could film out of regularly as they continue to re-evaluate financially. If the company moves forward with that plan, they would probably pull the trigger after the UK tour at the onset of 2014. The most notable location discussed internally? Orlando, Florida, of course. I don't believe the old Asylum is in the running, but it's possible. The word always was that Dixie Carter wasn't a fan of the venue.
...
There's a lot of talk that TNA will be running a major arena in the New York City metropolitan area soon. Obviously, Madison Square Garden is out, which leaves Barclays Center, Nassau Coliseum of the IZOD Center. If we can confirm the venue, we'll report it here.
Opinions are my own.

I'm not seeing what that has to do with my post?

I saw someone somewhere (I know, the specificity of my memory is spectacular) suggest combining the two approaches, and setting up three or four venues in the US to run a rotation of. Less expensive than touring properly, and you're not playing in front of the same fans every week.
