I'm happy to see him resign and now I see all these role players with more money, I can't really complain about him.

Good luckwith the T-Wolves.

Its good to see him back. Cassell isn't going to last forever and he is a good player as long as he isnt injured. He played well when he started a game this year I thing he got 26 points.

The Timberwolves aren't really in a position to make a run for high profile free agents though, so they can afford to pay that kind of money on a long term contract. Excellent move re-signing Hudson, a nice player to have coming off the bench and a capable starter if Cassell isn't available.

Key thing is, they had early bird rights on him. So they signed him for the MLE price without actually using the MLE. So now the Wolves can use the MLE on resigning Trenton Hassell and Fred Hoiberg.

If they lost Hudson they would have to find a backup and use part of the MLE on that rather than resigning Hassell and Hoiberg.

The Wolves don't need to use the MLE on Hasell, he's an RFA, and Hoiberg is their own FA agent so they don't need to use it on him either, you can always sign your own FA' even if you're over the cap.

I think Fred is an UNRESTRICED free agent. I think.

Hoiberg wants to stay because he is from Ames, Iowa and he wants him and his family to settle down close to home. So I'm not worried about Fred leaving us. It's just Trenton Hassell is be tempeted by teams like Denver to come to their team. Interesting to see where he goes, I love hassell so I hope he stays.
