Speaking of Daniel Bryan's firing in 2010: Daniel Bryan Talks About Spitting In John Cena’s Face

“Actually, one of the reasons that I got fired in 2010 was for spitting in John’s face; it was two things that got me fired — it was choking Justin Roberts with a tie and spitting in Cena’s face right before I kicked him in the head. It was those two things.”

“But then he’s the one that brought me back for SummerSlam of 2010. I think all of those things would have been interesting to bring up,” lamented Bryan.

Spoilers for next week TNA
Manik def Sonjay Dutt. I guess the rule about X Division matches having to be 3 ways is done or TNA just forgot.

:facepalm2:

Hardcore Justice was pretty good matchwise. Didnt care for the Bully win and getting the title back, or the Mafia stuff, or the obvious Ortiz turn, or the Taz stuff. The only good non-wrasslin thing going on is the Roode/Bad Influence team

OMGWTFGNJSDK:CKADLNCA SPOILERZ

The 5th man in the Main Event Mafia is AJ Styles, who is back to being phenomenal w/ his old theme song. The crowd loved it. Main event time.

Devon, Brisco, Bischoff, Anderson & Knux were the Aces and 8s team. Styles Clash on Devon for the win, the crowd went nuts. Devon must leave TNA, perhaps to take the agent job that was vacated by D' Lo Brown.

The crowd chanted "Thank you Devon" after the match. He posed for the crowd and then left.

It's not a work, though it remains to be seen whether it's referenced on camera at all. If so, I'd hope it's done respectfully. So far the response has been overwhelmingly positive, as he's getting a lot of support.

I don't think 'admitted' is really the right word to be using there.

Young would have to get on TV first.

HOGAN GONE FROM TNA
By Mike Johnson on 2013-08-16 19:56:37
Brooke Hogan is gone from TNA, PWInsider.com has confirmed.
The story making the rounds is that she was let go from the company on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. It appears she is the latest cut from the company due to their budget restructuring.

TNA teased a "Brooke" last night on Impact Wrestling, so if you want to see who that is, you can find spoilers on the front page of the site.

While there's always a chance she can pop back into storylines down the line, especially with her father working for the company, she is no longer working for TNA.

I forsee a PTP breakup and a face turn for Young. He might get a nice little Zack Ryder push until the novelty wears off and then back to wherever he's wrestling now. I think they wanted to push his partner into singles anyways.

btw, where the hell is Orlando Jordan (and his... well... "interesting" TNA entrance) when you need him??

Finally got around to watching some of this past week's Raw...WTF happened in that mixed tag? I'd heard about it beforehand, and Jimmy Korderas is claiming it's the ref's fault for standing there looking confused, but how on earth is it anything to do with anyone other than Natalya? She lets go for no reason, AJ realises she has to tap because the hold's broken, the ref never calls for the bell, the bell never rings, and nobody's music plays, and Natalya just assumes she's won, because...why, again?

Looks like Main Event's hiked PPV prices, too.

Speaking of TNA: if you're going to get rid of PPVs, get rid of PPVs. Don't just run them on the Thursday of the week you were going to run them anyway. Now nobody's paying to watch and your actual PPVs are even more diluted than they were before. Looking forward to WWE's "Best of TNA" set.

The explanation for that was that you can't win by submission if you break the submission before the person taps. It was supposed to be the end of the match, but the ref upheld that rule instead.

iirc, the other week the Shield were DQ'd because of another strange rule, in WWE if your tag partner breaks a submission/pin more than once, its a DQ

I love TNA "PPVs" as Impacts, and they get a nice ratings boost each time too. How are the four major ones diluted? (Genesis, Slammiversary, Lockdown, Bound for Glory)
from PWinsider
I think it says a lot about TNA's PPV buyrate numbers when you look at what bringing the PPVs to Impact have done. Last month, Destination X did 1,494,000 viewers, up from the 1,190,000 that they did the week prior. Hardcore Justice did 1,319,000 viewers on Thursday, up from 1,179,000 the week prior. The jump was about half of what they did last month, but at least they rose. The flip side is that if they could only get 140,000 more viewers to tune in this week for a PPV quality show, they probably couldn't have gotten a whole lot of people to pay $29.95 to watch it. So, putting the shows on Spike, where higher numbers keep TNA's main source of revenue happy, was the right call.
Opinions are my own.

That was totally Natalya's fault for letting go to early. But who gives a shit, they should've just rang the bell. Not one soul would have looked at it again.

JaoSming wrote:iirc, the other week the Shield were DQ'd because of another strange rule, in WWE if your tag partner breaks a submission/pin more than once, its a DQ

Formyhunny and koberulz talk about it in some posts above. It's not breaking the pin more than once, it's the 3rd man in the ring. One is allowed to save, another is a DQ, apparently.

The kayfabe I'm fine with, it's the legit error that is at issue.

Why would you pay for something you can see on free TV? This was a perfect opportunity to make the PPVs stand out from iMPACT! more, and they've gone in the opposite direction.

Because the gimmicky ones are free and the ones with the true 5* matches are the ones you need to pay for? I mean, we can break this down to E standards, we've seen Bryan and Cena go at it soooo many times, and half the feuds have had weekly tag team matches (playa) against each other for the past few weeks before each PPV. Its just in TNA, instead of having a month-long feud that gets paid-off at each PPV (of course Destination X and Hardcore just contradicted that with the title), you get these longer ones that mean a lot more when they end.

The gimmicky shows (ex-PPVs) also bring back the unpredictability to separate themselves from other Impacts, since a title change could happen. With all the cost cutting measures they've done, having a special show that used to be a PPV every 6 weeks or so to boost ratings does a lot more than making it a PPV that people were not buying.

Seen it. Cole commenting that "the ref has a spot at the NFL". Natalya letting go just before AJ tapped and really she let go for no reason. Perhaps a timing lapse between Natalya and AJ.

EDIT: Daniel Bryan is so over with the crowd now that I personally feel they appreciate what he does in the ring. I don't see him making Cena tap, or being the WWE Champion just because... Cena. But I see an Orton cash-in and a heel turn at SummerSlam.

EDIT 2: Just what is this internal turmoil between the Vince and Steph/HHH? Is this a long feud to culminate at WrestleMania XXX?

Fair enough if they don't have Cena tap, but it definitely seems a prime opportunity to have Bryan go over. As much as I'd hate to see his reign immediately end with Orton cashing in, if it's handled well it could turn out alright in the grand scheme of things.

However...if they're going to do that and turn Orton heel in the process, then it might be better for him to interfere and cost Bryan the title just when he's about to win it. Then, while both Bryan and Cena are out and prone, he cashes in to walk out the champion, turning heel in the process and beginning a feud with Bryan while Cena takes some time off for his scheduled elbow surgery. That way Orton turns and has massive heat, Bryan should still be getting a huge face reaction as he continues to chase the title (ideally winning it before the year is out) and there's no meaningless one minute title reign.

I like Bryan win by tap out, Orton cash, Bryan win by tap out. Bryan to Super Cena levels, feud with heel Orton (or send his 2 strike ass back to WHC scene)

I probably got the same people winning. It just seems like an obvious choice. RVD vs Ambrose don't even deserve to be on the pre-show.

First and foremost, I want to make it clear that this has been my only account, and my only user name that I have ever posted on. I am not on any social media. I don't post on any other forums, and I have never revealed myself to anyone. The rumors claiming that I have been caught by WWE are totally false. I have not contacted the WWE in any way and my identity is well protected.

From the information I have received, WWE Personnel will do anything to ensure I do not go undefeated again. It is my understanding that some of the matches on tonight's card have multiple scripts, including the MAIN EVENT, which to my knowledge, Vince changed on a whim TODAY. Therefore, it would be fruitless and deceiving to post all spoilers to an event where the outcomes have otherwise not yet been fully revealed.

I am still in communication with my source; and if I am able to receive credible information regarding match outcomes, I will post them on my newly created twitter account @dolphinsreddit as well as on this thread to anyone who is interested.

he is currently correct on Bray, and announced that this random long spoiler breaks this up but said Rio will win on his twitter - https://twitter.com/dolphinsreddit no prediction on sandow/rhodes
