New additions in the details that do look good, but the AI still looks incredibly lackluster and uncreative. I'd guess the only way to make it competitive is to jack up their reversals again.

They were acting like it's a cool thing how he was totally squashing John Cena.

I haven't watched the whole thing but yeah, seems like more of the same. I don't mind that too much, I did enjoy WWE '13 and there could be improvements that are more noticeable when playing the game as opposed to watching videos of others play. Looks like it'll be satisfactory, if not too innovative.

Duplicates still makes me sad. I think it was Here Comes the Pain when they have the wrasslers' retro versions available as alternates. But I think ABA Undertaker is a separate wrestler from Deadman Undertaker.

to be fair, the only retro character that will have the same look as the regular one is ric flair. that man has looked the same for the last 30 years lol. all of the others (outside of the current ones like cena, orton, miz) have been wrestling so long, they've changed outfits/hairstyles etc

The only difference between having them as alternate attires and as different characters is the ability to give them distinct movesets and entrances, and for the user to play them against each other. They still have to each have their own model, so it's not as though it takes up more space on the disc to do it this way rather than the other way.

Not that the disc has ever been anywhere near capacity in the history of wrestling games, either.

So Goldberg and Brock are in the game. We probably know what terrible matchup the game is gonna create.

very happy about some of the wrestlers here but i need to see the entire roster still. seeing as warrior is a preorder bonus i assume we wont have a hogan/warrior wrestlemania matchup


edit: why cant this be next gen. i would get for sure if it was on the ps4 but seeing as its on the 3 i am still up in the air

That's a decent roster for the mode. Funny to think that Goldberg vs Lesnar is likely Wrestlemania XX's entry; I guess you could re-write history and make it more exciting and epic than the real thing turned out to be.

Read somewhere that we actually see Goldberg walk through the arena and the gorilla in his entrance. Pretty cool.

To that end, we can expect that some Wrestlemanias will have more than one match featured. Whatever's not officially featured can more or less be recreated with the included wrestlers and arenas in exhibition play as well.

Perhaps. Like perhaps you may see 2 WM 17 matches. Taker vs Triple H, and The Rock vs Austin.

yeah if it allows for 2 there is no way they dont do both hogan/giant and macho/steamboat. one because of its stars and the other for being one of the best matches ever. i personally still consider it my fav and feel that will never change now that the matches are about who can kick out of each others finisher the most. omg he got his with 15 finishers, 19 steel chairs, a sledgehammer and a boat and he kicked out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, seems that the Phenom Edition is an EB Games exclusive here in Australia. Kind of a shame, seeing as how their prices are not competitive.
