Possible workaround for MyCloset on PC (Failed)

Sun Jun 30, 2013 12:49 pm

*Edit 7/1/13* This method is not recommended I will pursue other ways to emulate MyCloset- Please read my last post for more Details

(Original Post)
I will soon be back to outline a process to pull off Something comparable to what MyCloset can do for PC
only issue is you must restart the game in order to wear new Clothes ..

So I got tired of using the Normal my player clothes

So then I thought it would be smart to put GME (Generic Mod enabler) inside of one of my mod folders
call it my closet and create a shortcut on the desktop with a new icon to avoid getting confused
and use this as a way to switch clothes... (if you are lost I will give a detailed tutorial later)

Use the Generic Mod Enabler... renamed it my Closet and added a shirt icon

Choose my outfit
Image

Then go to My 2k13 Generic Mod Enabler and turn on my closet mod
Image

Then I Load up the game and.... Wa-lah *New Clothes**
Image

But I didn't stop there
I edited player pants models to add some variety and raised the pants legs
Image

The game assigns different colors for pants... The pants file is an RGB file so the game recolors the pants itself

Rebooted the game after changing clothing files

Restarted the game one more time for one last outfit

So I will be putting together a better tutorial. Maybe I can have it done tomorrow...
Also the reason you must restart the game is so that it may load the new global.iff file
that has the my player casual clothes. I attempted to add shorts and make the players
play in warm up suits but changing the models in that way did not work....
I also discovered that there is a polo collar shirt 3d model not just that tee shirt model
but I don't know how to make it show up

After further testing I will not be putting together a tutorial because
not following appropriate steps can lead to 2k13 not loading up.
I rushed through the process when I was loading up some clothes
and the GME ended up loading two global.iffs at once and it caused
alot of files to get copied to the wrong place. Even after deleting the
files and turning off all mods the game refused to load until
restoring my computer to an earlier date.

So this method will not be reccomended
