Marc Gasol was none too pleased at the end, great effort by the Griz but alas no match for amazing team work by the Spurs, nice to see the team that knocked the Lakers out at least make it to the Finals, number 5 for Timmy D!

Tough call. I keep waiting for the Spurs to collapse as they have done more often than not in the years since their last title and the Grizzlies have been pretty good throughout the year, so I don't want to sell them short. All the same, it's difficult to pick against the Spurs here, so I'll take them in six very competitive games.

I got the competitive part right, at least. Sweeps don't exactly make for all-time classic series, but this one was a lot better than most series that end that way.. The Grizzlies can be proud of the season they had, at the end of the day they ran into a better team and still made them earn it, even if they didn't win a game.

Hats off to the Spurs for making it back to the Finals, where I'm thinking they've actually got a pretty decent shot at winning it all, no matter who comes out of the East. The Heat winning it all still seems probable, but not so much a foregone conclusion. If nothing else, San Antonio will be well-rested.
