Great read, maybe you should give Malone back his number 34 since he only wore 11 on LA because 32 belongs to Magic.

Just a suggestion.

Seattle rallies to victory

Memphis @ Seattle
Game 10
Image

The final score - 109 to 105

Memphis was tough to defeat. Pau Gasol had a great game, but he had to play hard to get it. The big name players played a lot of minutes, but weren't able to hold off Memphis. Both teams shot very low in the 1st quarter. Seattle continued to shoot low in the 2nd quarter, but Memphis caught fire. Mike Miller was 8 for 9 from the field, with most of his shots in the 2nd quarter. Seattle fell to a 20 point deficit in the 2nd quarter, but were able to cut it down to 10 by the end of the 3rd. Seattle continued to make run after run, as the weary stars on the team played their hardest to produce, and produce they did. Seattle came up on top as Memphis fell apart, and it was all over by then.

Player of the Game - Gary Payton

Player of the game Gary Payton talks to reporters after the final horn.

Question 1: What happened to Seattle in the 1st half?

Gary: Well we just weren't connecting. Luckily for us though they [Memphis] weren't connecting either, but then in the 2nd quarter they heated up, we still weren't connecting.

Question 2: Do you think playing a lot of minutes helped your cause?

Gary: I'm not too sure about that if we play more minutes we can produce more, but Barry was playing great in his two minutes. If I were the coach I would have put him in more, he's not such a bad player.

Question 3: How do you feel Pau Gasol did?

Gary: He played good, but he had a helluva hard time to score like that.

Thanks for the comments... I take no credit to those shoes, I don't know the first thing to patching these players.... they're all downloaded. Gary's shoes came free with the Gary Payton patch from Tony.

Hardwood Classics Night
Lewis rallies Seattle to victory

Washington @ Seattle
Game 11
Image

The final score - 113 to 108

Seattle's run and gun style clashed with Washington's, and it made an exciting, fast paced game. Washington was powerful all game long. Seattle made several mistakes in the 1st half, turnovers converted into easy points for Washington. Rashard Lewis, however, wasn't about to let them win. Lewis had a very strong game, ending with 37 points. Gary Payton fouled out with 6 minutes to go in the 4th quarter, which gave Brent Barry some more playing time. Brent Barry brought great energy off the bench, and he also helped Seattle come to it's senses and rally to victory.

Player of the Game - Rashard Lewis

Player of the game Rashard Lewis talks to reporters after the final horn.

Question 1: How did you let Washington stay with your team throughout the game?

Lewis: Well we just weren't executing right. We threw the ball away too many times, and they pushed the ball and scored easy points.

Question 2: How do you feel Gary Payton played, despite Gilbert Arenas scoring immensely?

Lewis: I think Payton had great defense, Gilbert Arenas was just lucky and on fire.

Question 3: You looked like you were having fun slamming home all those fast breaks. What happened when Jarvis Hayes got in your way?

Lewis: I was thinking, "Oh no, get out of my way," and I just powered through him. I didn't get the foul, but I made the shot, so oh well.
