because its challenging.
if you dont like it, change some coaching profiles.
Just be ready to get back on defense after shooting like the real nba. It also doesn't hurt to bait the passing lanes because they might try a quick pass as well. Once you get back, they slow it up and run plays. I'm seeing lots of pick and rolls which is good.
My cpu teammates are getting beat off the dribble a lot and while I am controlling a big man I am out of position to rotate in time. I like the difference with the speed of changing direction between the quicker and slower players. It seems like I am just late most of the time with the block attempt.
Try 60 game speed and 60 player speed for some nice responsiveness and what looks like more athleticism. Global tendencies may have to be lowered to keep the scores realistic on 12 minute quarters, but I like playing 8-10 minute quartes, so I increase the global tendencies to get them to shoot quicker. I feel it improves the AI a bit, too, maybe too much sometimes as players will make the pass to the open player who is more likely to take the open shot with the raised tendencies, but with the speed up and some increases to help defense(which help cause the pass outs), you can recover and end up with some good inside out game and defensive rotation that makes the game challenging as well as more fun, imo.
