I learn (from here http://thereal2kinsider.blogspot.tw/) that the Defensive Awareness, Speed and Quickness has taken a greater effect on the overall rating
But I am still very curious about 2K12's player overall rating formulas!!
Maybe anyone know?

I tried to find 2K12's overall formula by using Eureqa, but since the variables are 32, it would take me a CPU farm to get the proper formula in a realistic amount of time.
So unless someone with insider access has leaked the formula, or unless you have access to, say, 32 cores of good processing power, I don't see us finding out soon.
