PC Specs, what framerates should I expect?

Postby shawn.hayden on Mon Jul 09, 2012 10:45 am

What I'm running:

E8400 3.0GHZ Intel Dual Core
8gb 1333mhz RAM
NVidia GeForce GTX560ti

Frame rate 49-50fps stable

is this around what I should get? or is something wrong? I'm running other games alot faster it seems...

sounds about right, 2K12 isn't a great console port
Opinions are my own.

Aside from being a poor port, the game seems to be too reliant on the processor. It's running a lot of things it should be running on the GPU on the CPU from what I can tell. My GPUs get tons of idle cycles with 2K, CPU doesn't get any rest.

You should be getting stable 60fps with vsync on this rig. Maybe you put antialiasing too high. Along 1600*900 or higher res you dont need more than 4x AA.

I run it at 1366x768 with cpu limited to 1.6ghz (quad core) and its always 60fps in gameplay. Only cutscenes sometimes run slower. And thats on laptop.
