Wow, he's just an animal. Whoever believes this was actually accidental (and it appears there are people who do, I've even seen theories saying Harden flopped) is just an unbelievable ignorant and a complete idiot, I'm sorry. I guess you can change your name, but not necessarily your mentality. If he plays again this season, I'll be disappointed. And I'd be perfectly fine with a lifetime suspension for him, but that won't happen. Harden was probably lucky he was even able to get up after such a hit to the head.

I am hoping that happens. For me, this incident is one of the worst in the history. Harden luckily seems to be ok but injury could have been much more severe. Melo was suspended for how many games? 15? This Peace's act is much worse imo tho. Not only cowardly but also bullish. And him not still acknowledging that he fucked up makes it only worse. So Wade's deliberately shoving a player to the ground for no reason was "making a sensible point"? Whereas inadvertently nailing a player in the head who's getting up on you isn't.

It's understandable how Wade might be considered as a jerk as he's done that kind of shoving before, most memorably against Kobe's elbow, Garnett's hard pick, and this one against Hamilton. And I am not going to argue seriousness of it as it has been dealt quite fairly at least to my standard. As for Fisher's action, perhaps one could argue he should have been dealt little more harshly which I actually tend to agree in some ways.

Lastly for Artest's action, the seriouness of it is at whole different level from my perspective. Whether you agree or not, I'd love to see a harsh punishment on his action. We will see how this one goes down.

How is it on a "whole different level" than Wade deliberately shoving down an offensive player or Fisher deliberately taking out Scola or Melo sucker punching someone or Kobe's hand raping thing he does?

Players are elbowing and shoving players who get up on them all the time in games, the difference here is that instead of it being Perkins/Ibaka/Durant and getting nailed in the chest, (or Artest getting his arm behind the player and elbowing him in the back which it looks he like was going for when his chest beating got interrupted) it was 6-5 Harden who got it in the head.

I see absolutely zero evidence that Artest purposely intended to elbow Harden in the head. Hell, I see little evidence he knew it was Harden bodying him up.

People need to stop acting like this was the worst hit in NBA history, or even this season. Or from Artest.
