Detroit in 4...

No one is saying that...they're saying six or seven.

Did you all forget Lakers came from a 2-0 deficit against the Spurs? The Spurs are a much better team that Detroit.

Yeah, but the Pistons are not the Spurs....and if you watched the game, the Lakers were dismantled by the Pistons. The series is not over, and the Lakers won't win three straight in the palace.

Hamilton being better than Kobe? yea, Hamilton really played well..yea right.

No one said this either...are you reading anything in this post?

-Sheed dominating against Malone? What, where?

Sheed had 14 and 8 on 3-4 shooting and not playing the majority of the first half...compared to Malone's 4 points and 5 or 6 boards, and the fact he played most of the game, and the fact he made 2-9 shots...I'd say Sheed played quite a bit better than him...and he didn't dominate, and no one said he would. They said he had the advantage...and he apparently does, no?

- "we have 4 7 footers, they'll stop Shaq" oh man was that so wrong.

No one said Shaq would be stopped, I know I didn't. I said they'd throw a lot of bodies at him to wear him down by the end of the series, and I said he'd get his, just like I said Kobe would get his...seriously, read stuff.

Don't count on Billups to have another lucky night.

Lucky? Man, you're the worst fan ever...you know nothing. Billups dominates the Lakers guards because of his strength. The only time he doesn't do well is when Kobe's on him....

In fact I think this game 1 win will make the Lakers win in 5 since the Lakers now have gotten an earlier wake up call.

If you watched the game, the Lakers COULD NOT DO ANYTHING. They weren't lethargic, they weren't coasting, THEY WERE BEAT INTO THE GROUND. You need to watch the game and read the post before making stupid, ignorant, and annoying posts about something you obviously have no clue about.

If you think the Lakers will win in five, tell me why...and don't say 'because they lost the first game and had a wake-up call." I think the Pistons just might be aware of that possibility and they'll be prepared

click on that and it will automatically go to new posts and skip past the ones you already seen already.

Heh, I had already visited the site...I didnt visit this thread because I hadn't watched the game as yet, I had a feeling the score would've been given away in the thread, thus I avoided it. BUt alas, thanks to Homer's wonderfull sig, I knew LA had lost before I actually watched the game. Pfff, running from family members...all that for nothing..

Man Psycho...u actually visited that site???

Ehehe, I wanted to see the level of patheticness in the world.

Don't ask why, or why I think so, I stand by my statement that LA will win, don't ask for stats or that stuff, just call it intuition. :)

*sigh* Make up your mind, are you an Orlando fan or a Detroit fan, oh wait you just jump the bandwagon as to who ever is "trying" to beat LA. *sigh* I won't wast my time on you Homer...giving you facts and everything doesnt help, all you do is comeback with kindergarten remarks. If you don't know what I'm talking about, see WMD in Iraq thread.

2-0, yeah, I'll 2-0 you some day.

Funny how every turkish person here in Holland lived in the same street as Mehmet Okur and Hedo Turkoglu.

So, any predictions on game 2? Score wise I mean, will the Lakers be held under 80 again?

My last comment wasn't directed towards you in paticuliar Homer... Only the rolling eye emoticon was.

The Holland comment was just a general comment, just I find it funny that every Turk has told me he lives/lived near these people.

About the score was to get this topic back to topic, thus not going off topic, it was just something to go back to LA-Detroit discussion, not some sort of attack on you.

By the way, I didnt get annoyed at anything.

Jackal, you have NO business attacking Homer in this thread. Just like he has NO business attacking you in other threads. This is your LAST warning for flaming him.

I'm getting VERY tired of this behavior from both of you. If you can't get along, then one or both of you WILL go.

Heading towards halftime, I'll predict that both teams will score in the 80s in this one.

Expect him to start the second half, seriously...he has been the Lakers X-Factor so far and maybe he had his best game of the season already and there are still 24 minutes remaining. Excellent passing skills and he can handle the ball very well as Kobe said during the interview, he made some fouls that he shouldnt make...but I think hes just pumped up so I can overlook that :P .

Malone had problems with his right knee after a screen & roll I believe so I hope he will be able to play on his level, he is attacking the rim which is a good thing, but now Mailman....make the shots please.

Can't stand the Lakers

Postby corranjedi on Wed Jun 09, 2004 1:06 pm

Just like the Yankees in baseball (who I also can't stand), the Lakers buy their championships, which I hate. I get tired of them. Anyway, so far I don't see why the Lakers always complain about bad reffing against them, seems like the refs, up until very recently in the game, have been pretty good friends of them. More recently, them seem to be more even, better late than never I guess.

I was wrong...

Postby corranjedi on Wed Jun 09, 2004 1:17 pm

Guess I was wrong, Lakers still have the refs. If not Pistons would have 4 point+ lead going into 4th, instead of 2 point deficit.

Hmm...

Postby corranjedi on Wed Jun 09, 2004 1:40 pm

Strange, I see what some people are talking about when they say the commentators on ABC are biased towards the Lakers. How in the world was the offensive foul on Shaq a bad call? Is it because most refs usually don't call it even though they should? Ben Wallace was planted, didn't move his feet, and got leveled by Shaq (which took a lot of bravery on Wallaces part). Shaq should almost get more then just a regular foul, the way he through his entire body into him, it was somewhat dangerous. Great play by Ben, good call by the refs, stupid comment by the commentators.

If they can get a stop, they can tie it w/ a 3 pointer... I think Cook screwed them up... they were up, then they lost it all.. why did Phil put him in??

That shot was nothing but pure luck. PURE LUCK Sorry morons on ABC, but there is nothing you can say about that but PURE LUCK. Of course, we wouldn't be talking about this if the Lakers didn't have the refs, like I mentioned before. Hmm, up by 3, Billups drives to the basket, gets hacked by every Laker and his brother, and gets no foul called.

I don't think that was lucky. He's been shooting shots like that all game long, just hasn't hit many. If you watched the close up replay, Rip backed off, so you could say Kobe blocked him out of his mind when he shot....

Just another shot in practice..
