Has anyone done the half and half Nike arm sleeve? I think it should be added to the Nike padded sleeve. The top half will always be team color 1 and the bottom half will be the one that we can edit. Don't know if it is possible, but was wondering. Thanks

Was that about the dds bundle or my Nike armsleeve request? The reason I want to have the nike armsleeve is because it could still be used as the regular one by making both colors the same or you could make it the half and half.

About the DDS bundle.

Regarding the NIKE ArmSleeve, I don't have time to make it right now, too busy with Uni. If someone else makes it, send it to me, I'll test it and put it in a poll.

Leftos features BBmyLove in...
7 Adidas Techfit Arm Sleeves Bundle

This bundle contains the following sleeves in ready-to-inject DDS files:

Image

There's also a separate bundle that includes the first 4 (my original creations) in 1000x1000 layered PSD files so you can edit them and improve them in high resolution!

ACCESSORIES REDISTRIBUTION NOTICE
You may edit and/or re-release my personally created accessories either individually, as part of your global, or as part of any other mod without asking permission, but giving proper credit. If an accessory of mine is actually an edit of another modder's work, you need to get permission from them first as well, unless I state otherwise.

Tonight, Dwight was back to using the regular Colored armband with silver stripes,

like BBMYLOVE's Original

Like he has for most of the season

Image

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

I wonder if people don't know that having the black stripes was mostly a one time thing (probably just to match colors on his gear to differenciate it with some opponent team's colors). but the one he uses is the similar to BBmylove original setup,

here's against the clippers 2 games ago:

Image

And even with the dark road uniforms, switches to black sleeve with silver stripes, 3 games ago, vs pacers:

If people know this and still prefer the other color setups, that's fine, just wanted to make it clear that he is not wearing that now, he still wears the same one mostly.

Thanks for the research, much appreciated.

And look, even if I make the global with the white sleeve with colored stripes, it's not like everyone has to use that.

2.4 has my v3, and 2.5 has BBmyLove's original, so people can keep on using that, seeing as how there's no other changes that they're going to miss out on.

I've never said that SCM is all about realism, it's about what the community wants. If the community votes for a realistic accessory, I'll do it. If the community votes for a fantasy accessory or a one-time accessory that's just sexy, I'll do that.

I'm trying to offer as many options as I can and please everyone, hence the so many add-ons, the polls and now the 7 Arm Sleeves Bundle.

The latest version of the global that had any significant changes was 2.4. So you can grab that one (it's still available in the first post), download the Arm Sleeves bundle, and pick your favorite! Ain't that noice?

Oh absolutely, I simply think that too much efforth and discussion has been given to an armband wore by one player. From the beggining people manifested that wanted BBmylove's original probably due to it being realistic for an iconic player, so going by that, I just wanted to make sure everyone knows, THATS STILL WHAT HE WEARS, so you don't end up releasing 2.6 and then when some more mods get updated and you need to add a new different future version people show up in 3 days pointing out that he now wears the silver one and wanting a new version or whatev.

2.5 is what I use and unless some significant changes to mods gets released, will be what I'll stick with for my association once Alby's releaases 2.0 rosters :)

Superglobal Codename Moose has surpassed 8,000 downloads! v2.5 alone has over 2,000 downloads!

Thanks to every one of you out there that have downloaded and tried my superglobal, especially those who have left a comment of praise, criticism or a suggestion. Your support is what keeps me going.

col2k3, thanks for the support, and I know that there's been too much hassle regarding the Arm Sleeve, I agree. To be honest, I'm the one putting all the effort to get it right, and not so much because people keep requesting a new one, but because people originally wanted BBmyLove's. And it's an accessory that I generally find very sexy (I use it on Greg Monroe, even if that's not realistic), so I keep on improving it on my spare time, and that's why I even made my own version of it, with the stiched-on rubber stripe effect.

To tell you the truth, I'm not even using 2.5! :P People voted for BBmyLove, and I respect the guy, his cyberfaces are amazing and his accessory is the most loved one apparently, but I have to say... I like mine better. :P Especially v3.1, now that I've corrected the white.

Even if I do make 2.6 with the white sleeve and people start complaining, I'll just point them back to 2.5 that has the original BBmyLove arm sleeve, or even better to the bundle, to let them choose which one they like the best.

White sleeve with colored stripes is better because it will always be realistic. The sleeve would be white at home and black away. All you would have to do is make the stripe silver in game or whatever color you want..

Hmm... if you had white sleeve with colored stripes it wouldn't be white at home and black away... it would always be white... so how would it be realistic? only the stripe color would change

col2k3 is right. You can't have changing color on both the sleeve and the stripe. Not AFAIK. If there's a trick using 2K's color masks and I don't know it, please enlighten me.

So you can't make the sleeve Team Color 1 and let us change the stripe color? Sorry for my unclear first post. This is what I was trying to ask.

No, and I figure a lot of people thought you can and that's why they are voting this option and would end up being dissapointed.
You can only make it so it allows you to edit one thing, either sleeve color, or the stripe color; whatever you choose, the other one would remain static.

For example, if you choose BBmylove's original wich silver stripes. You could set a color for the sleeve itself for home games, and a different one for away games, so for example you could get:

Home: White sleeve (with silver stripe) and Away: Black sleeve (with silver stripe).

If you choose the BBmylove realistic edit with white sleeves, then you CAN'T edit the color of the sleeve, it would always be white, what you could do is edit only the color of the stripe, to have it for example:

Home: White sleeve (with black stripe) Away: White sleeve (with blue stripe)

That would look weird and get repetitive imo.

Looking at Dwight's sleeve here, its more of a camouflage-black-and-gray. While the stripe is a shiny silver. Is this possible to make for the black sleeve?

Yeah, I guess it's possible, but that would mean that all sleeve colors would be camouflage like, or that the sleeve would be a fixed black with silver stripe, which would get boring.

Haven't we spent enough time on this sleeve already? :P No offense, but I'd love to focus on something new!

hey if u want to focus on something new, do u think u could find a newe knee hex pad? i noticed most players use the adidas one
like marcus thornton http://www.sportsnola.com/sports/hornet ... 96-80.html, delonte west http://www.chron.com/sports/article/Now ... to-2293340, jrue holiday http://www.libertyballers.com/photos/jr ... on-offense, hedo turkoglu http://westorlandonews.com/wp-content/u ... rkoglu.png, etc. if u could insert gorys adidas hexpad (i remember he made one in 2k11), that would be awesome! and is there anyone u could consult to make sure the textures are smoothened, cuz in game the textures for the hexpads look a little stretched out

You can't avoid having accessories textures being stretched. It's due to the really low resolution those textures are saved in. That can't be changed.

And I think the photos you're posting are something between knee sleeves and half calf sleeves. Neither is exactly it, and I don't think there's such an accessory in the game. Could combining a knee pad and half calf sleeve work, in-game?

And they're not all wearing it the same. Turkoglu wears it as a knee sleeve, the rest wear it having their knee at the top of the accessory, not the middle.

The global currently has the Techfit Knee Sleeve and the McDavid Hex Pad. Best I could do would be to move to an Adidas Hex Pad, but as I've said, changing accessories that are already in require the vote of others as well.

Do you mind that much that it's the McDavid one instead of the Adidas one?

yes i would love to see longer knee sleeves like those, kind of why i enjoyed albins globals in 2k11 because he managed to get the long knees sleeves in game, hope they can be added, because i really like the knee sleeves dorell wright wears as well as other players in the league ( they are like the ones dirk wears but longer

I don't use your globals but I think its a bit overkill with all these sleeves. The thing I look for is 100% accuracy to the what the NBA players and then the textures. The most realistic global would be from threeq from the baballs site but he seems to be not releasing it or something can't really understand even with google translate.
My point is knee pads, leg sleeve etc are just as important I would like to see if you could make with the type of textures threeq uses from the previews the textures you are using seem low quality. Also for leg sleeve I'd remove the Adidas logo and go with basic padding. And only use Adidas for one of the knee pad.
If you can get threeq's global from last year he has great textures I'm using them for my global but I just quickly put one together I would love to see a global with threeq like textures but it seems no one is making the actual accessories textures anymore with g0ry being the last one to do it here and threeq not releasing or what ever.

I hope that made sense I was just going off the top of my head. Just seems like this year the globals are weak with no one making textures.

chicagoRAW,
Don't blame me for the low resolution textures. That's just as much resolution as we have. Open the DDS files yourself, see if you can get anything better out of 64x64 or AT BEST 256x256 textures. When a texture so small is stretched over an accessory THAT big, that's what happens. I can't help it. If by quality you don't mean image quality but accessory quality, I'm working with what I have. And that's Gory's accessories from last year, and whatever one or two new accessories have popped up this year.

I'm not that good at editing textures or creating them myself. I've just redone the Techfit Arm Sleeve and the ankle brace, and gave the Arm Sleeves some different styles to please everybody.

I'm not a guy who is obsessed about realism. Really, I don't bother with it. I don't watch every team in the NBA nor do I go OCD about being realistic. All I care is making a global that I, first and foremost, like, and then something that the community approves of and likes to use.

That's why I've done so many polls, that's why I give so much attention to people's feedback and requests.

For me accessories are hardly important, but people request them, and if the rest agree, I add them. It's that simple. It's more of a community superglobal, rather than "here's the most realistic one guys, let's call it ULTIMATE UBERREALISTIC". I give people the chance to suggest an accessory, if I like it and it's available and others agree, I add it. So simple.

As for threeq's accessories, the guy's not even part of this community. How am I supposed to ask for his permission? Are his accessories public domain, available to all to include in globals and re-release by just giving him credit?

If they are, just point me to where I can get them, and which accessories you'd like to see included. We'll ask the rest of the community, and might just as well get them in.

You're looking at the wrong place and the wrong guy if you believe that I'm going to look through all of Gory's accessories or threeq's and then look at every player in the NBA and see what they're currently wearing. As I said, I don't care. I only go by what I like, and community suggestions.

So if you have something specific to suggest, go ahead! Just make sure we have the original creator's permission, or that you can get me in contact with him.

mlp111 wrote:yes i would love to see longer knee sleeves like those, kind of why i enjoyed albins globals in 2k11 because he managed to get the long knees sleeves in game, hope they can be added, because i really like the knee sleeves dorell wright wears as well as other players in the league ( they are like the ones dirk wears but longer

Again, you're asking me to edit an accessory's model. I've already said I have no idea how to do that, nor do I have the time to actually start learning about 3D editing.

We really need a guy devoted to making accessories this year. But there's none currently. So we're only working with what we have, sorry.

As a footnote, one last time.
This Superglobal is not all about realism. It's about what I like, and community suggestions. If you have something specific to suggest, go ahead. But do not criticize my work of not being 100% realistic or true to what NBA players currently wear. Frankly dear, I don't give a damn.

chicagoRAW, not that I mind your criticism and suggestions, I just wanted to put that out there for everyone to know, because I had to actually EXPLAIN myself to a guy over at Moddingway when I first made this global for using an accessory "hardly anyone uses".
