NBA 2K12 Scoreboards - TNT 2.0 Released!

I know everybody's coming up with requests, and I bet you're really busy getting to the TNT or NBA on NBC scoreboards, but I'm here with a suggestion.

I'm playing with the new NBA TV scoreboard, and I love it. However, the stat overlays feel a bit... quite different in design. Do you think you could alter their border texture to match the one of your scoreboard? I mean the black border with the smooth rounded corners, instead of the default silver one with the rectangle corners?

That's a suggestion for any scoreboard you make really, to enhance the authentic feel and make the stat overlays just a bit more similar to the scoreboards, as if they came from that network.

Amazing work! I am not a fan of NBATV (me-TNT / Inside the NBA fanboy!) as a brand in general , but this is a must have

BTW, what is the best NBATV mod to use this scoreboard together with? I guess no one did it better than MGX with its "MGX NBATV MOD V2 RLSD" (viewtopic.php?f=143&t=83222)..

I´ll try mate. It won´t be easy because I have to change the color of a shape by hexaedition but I´ll try.

By the way, finally I was able to change the home and away score font size. Yesterday I´ve said I was able but you may noticed that when you score there is an small animation and I was not able to get a good result ( after the animation the score size was bigger than the one I set up) . Now with hexaedit I was able to remove that animation and we are able to set score size without problems. Since this was made by tons of hexedit I guess this TNT scoreboard will have to be used as template for anyone who wants to make a new scoreboard. This will also help to finally make the retro NBA on NBC scoreboards without problems.

I´ll post screens of TNT scoreboard later.

Not yet mate. Ive understand how some animations work but I´m not sure if I´ll be able to find how to launch one when it´s needed.

That's really part of the game's coding. If the game doesn't make an animation appear, you can't do that manually. The one animation that does have a "team scored" trigger is the one in the scoreboard, the white light that fades in and out above the team's score while the score changes.

When experimenting with the hex values, could you move that animation? Resize it? If so, you could make -something- appear whenever each team scores, or just ensure that the same "white light" animation is there on other scoreboards as well, those that really have it I mean. I think the Fox scoreboard for example has no animation between scores, it just switches the numbers, no fade in/out, no crossfade, nothing. Other real scoreboards do have transition effects, so maybe Ariel could replicate those.

I think what we should be letting Ariel focus on right now is getting different scoreboards out, like the TNT one, the NBA on NBC one, the ESPN one, and then worry about animations. A clear cut between scores with no animation should suffice until then.
