What about Beaubois? He can start at the two. I've got to say I'm not very surprised about the Mavs' performances to start the season. I'm disappointed, but not surprised. There were a lot of changes (too many) over the offseason. There are also going to be issues trying to get Beaubois, Terry, VC, West, DoJo, and Rautins minutes at the 2. And this AFTER getting rid of Brewer, Fernandez, Barea, Stevenson, and Butler. The 2 spot is wayyyyyyy too crowded. Trade like three of them for a big already.

I'm not surprised with the fact that the Nuggets won, but definitely surprised about how much they won by. I think their depth will hold them in good stead over the course of the season. Some interesting results all round today (particularly the Kings )

Who cares if he got trapped? There's no five-second violation, so he can just hold onto the ball until he gets fouled.

Or, alternatively, and I completely fail to see why nobody in the NBA ever does this instead of calling timeout, throw the ball off the leg of a defender.

Not in the NBA. There's the Five-Second Back-to-the-Basket Violation and of course the five second inbounding rule, but those are the only five second violations in the league.
