KINGS REIGN SUPREME OVER SIXERS

The Sixers had the win within their grasp and let it slip away. Wait, let me rephrase, more like they had it and the Kings snatched it away. Even with the stellar performances of Allen Iverson, Glenn Robinson, Aaron McKie and Kenny Thomas, the Sixers were no match for the Kings superstars. Iverson was ice cold at the start but finally started to heat up. The player that really kept the Sixers alive was not Allen Iverson or Glenn Robinson, but Aaron McKie, who's midrange shooting and amazing drives kept the Sixers within striking distance. Peja was red hot, going 13 for 18 from the field and 3 for 5 from the perimeter, ending with a total of 40. Chris Webber dominated Kenny Thomas, showing how weak the Sixers front court is. Granted, Thomas did have 1 block and 7 rebounds, but he could not stop Chris Webber downlow, and the Kings exposed that.
The Sixers were without a second scoring threat for the whole 4th quarter as Glenn Robinson hurt his arm after colliding with Peja

Glenn Robinson hurt his arm in the 3rd and sat out the rest of the game, the medical staff cleared him to play, but Randy Ayers kept him on the bench, thereby losing the Sixers second scoring threat.Iverson finally caught fire late in the 3rd, but even his 39 points wasn't enough to stop the Kings. The game was close until missed shots and blown layups led to fast breaks opened a huge gap late in the 4th. The Sixers tried to fight back, but it wasn't enough, as the Sixers left Sac Town 1-1.~76~
