Its not a little different, its the difference between pulling a calf and if your calf was slowly ceasing to exist. The guy will be crippled (not that theres anything wrong with that) by 40 if he doesnt stop playing now.

Oh damn... i'm sorry about my selfishness then. Live your life to the fullest, Roy. You will be missed :(

I hope we see him in coaching or some sort of front office job, he looked like a smart guy on the court maybe that can help in other aspects of basketball. My favorite player....

It would be a good idea if he become a manager on the team or byu a 10% of the team.He could be also a smart assistant coach as he knows the Blazers well..

Adding him to the coaching staff could be a good move for the Blazers, or failing that some kind of "basketball ambassador" role that a lot of retired players take at one time or another. It'd be a classy move either way and if he were to join the coaching staff, it would afford him an opportunity to continue to contribute in a meaningful way game to game.

I think he should be in the coaching staff. He will be missed obviously. I want to play in NBA 2k12 right now. Deym. Tomorrow when I get home.

I love the game, I love the Portland Trail Blazers and I love our fans, but after consulting with my doctors, I will seek a determination that I've suffered a career ending injury, pursuant to the rules of the collective bargaining agreement. My family and health are most important to me and in the end this decision was about them and my quality of life. I want to thank Paul Allen, Larry Miller, Coach McMillan, the entire Trail Blazers organization and our fans for all of their love and support during my time in Portland. It was a great ride.

Found that sig which I requested from someone here in the NLSC years ago.
I find it ironic that I requested that before both of them lost their knees.
