Javale McGee was absolutely their best player last year. He was the only player to bring positive contributions to the team, providing the team's only defensive presence (and I mean only). Wall was pretty ineffective, shooting very poorly, lot's of TO's, missed 13 games to injury, etc. Nick Young is a backup-caliber SG that just takes a lot of shots - a.k.a. a star in your book. Blatche was a disaster all year.

Bargs doesn't defend or rebound and isn't efficient offensively. He's played out of position but playing the 3 is not an option due to his complete and utter lack of ability to guard 3's. Gallo was forced to play a lot of 4 in New York and he did just fine.

The young players on my list: Kevin Love, John Wall, Kemba Walker, Kyrie Irving, DeMarcus Cousins, Paul Millsap, Wilson Chandler, Ty Lawson, Brook Lopez, Darren Collison, James Harden, Stephen Curry, Tyreke Evans, Brandon Jennings ( I know, I know), Kyle Lowry, Michael Beasley, Jeff Teague, Tyler Hansbrough, James Harden, Omer Asik, Nolan Smith.

That's all I have for now.

Let's hope Jimmer won't become the next AMMO. He might be slightly overrated by now...

Even if Jimmer ends up being a bust, he'll probably still have a cult following.

Anyway, I'm interested to see how Kawhi Leonard does in the NBA. If the Spurs traded for him, he must have a lot of potential, because they sure know how to draft good players.

i don't expect him to be as big a bust as AMMO, but the way he was raved about last season, if he's anything less than Reggie Miller, then he's a bust.

Right now, I see him as a point guard version of Kyle Korver, with upside.

I really hope that Jimmer is able to transform his shooting game into the NBA.

Since when two time world chamption gets labeled a bust? And anything less than Reggie? That makes up everyone in today's league in exception of perhaps say 5 players.

We'll see if we can put Jimmer on the "big bust list" in some years or not. To be honest, I don't see him to become the next Reggie Miller. I'll never forget how he killed the Knicks.

At the moment, I gotta go with Mark Price than Reggie, for Jimmer.

And as for John Wall discussion which I missed... His rookie season was quite disappointing. For him to deserve an All-Star spot, he'll really really need to improve, A LOT. I remember comparing this guy to Steve Francis before the last season. And it turned out that Wall sucked a lot more than Francis in his rookie season. But then again, Francis was 22 years old when he was rook. So maybe Wall will become close to or better than Francis by that age. But Lamrock's right about his rookie year being a bad one.

Jimmer shooting will fit right in, it will be his ability to run the team as a PG (Since I've noticed they don't want Tyreke playing point) and defend guys like Rose, Rondo and Westbrook that remains doubtful.

That's something I'd really like to leave to Tyreke because of his size, speed and strength. We'll see how Kings will use both of them together...

Forget Rose and Westbrook, I'm not sure if Jimmer can defend the likes of DJ Augustin. I'd rather have Evans defending them

I wouldn't call Wall's rookie season bad as I think that's a shade too harsh. His shooting and turnovers are probably the most troubling elements of his game with ordinary percentages and a decent number of turnovers per game, but I think his jumpshot will develop and the turnover numbers aren't that unreasonable for someone handling the ball a lot. His numbers were OK across the board, he showed promise and he's got the tools to go further. It wasn't a stellar rookie year, but I'd say at the very least it was above average.

Also missed this before:

Lamrock wrote:You're infatuated with the raw stats, but there's gotta be some red flags about a PF almost entirely reliant on athleticism who's already missed half of his career with a broken kneecap. Blake had an excellent rookie season, but it's pretty hard to make a case for him making it over Aldridge, Chandler or Zach Randolph given the Clippers' record and his only claim being 22-12 on adequate efficiency and with no noticeable impact as far as actually winning is concerned. You could say "oh, injuries", but those benefited the Clippers as DeAndre Jordan is better than Chris Kaman (mind blown yet?)

That wording is a little creative, given Griffin's only been in the NBA for two years and had the misfortune of sitting out what should have been his rookie season. He doesn't seem to be showing too many ill-effects from said injury either, so while I guess it's worth noting I'm not sure it's as much of a concern as it is for someone like Greg Oden. Griffin making the All-Star team wasn't completely unreasonable, I understand the argument against him and for other players but he was a standout player last season and like Wall he obviously has the tools.

Whether he can get those numbers more efficiently, on a winning team and be a franchise player is yet to be seen but it seems to me he's got a pretty decent shot at it. The talent is there.

True that.

To compare him to 2 of most exciting point guards in the league today, Rose and Westbrook, Wall's rookie season sits somewhere in between. Westbrook had the worst rookie season out of these 3 but made a huge leap in following 2 years. Rose had the best and also made a huge leap in following 2 years. Perhaps it's possible for Wall to also make that kind of jump in his development.

They were all same age in their rookie years too.

Marcus Thornton will continue to put up 20ppg. DeJuan Blair has potential unless his ACL-less knees act up. I hope Landry Fields can return to his old form (1st half of the season), he's got potential as a stater on a good team. Wesley Matthews was undrafted and he's already shown off his talent and he might continue to improve (not sure how much). I'm interested by Josh Selby and I want to figure out how on earth he dropped to the Grizzlies at #48.

Westbrook and Love look to be truly something special. Westbrook's speed and court vision is ever improving and looked great in the playoffs. Love is showing Hall of fame caliber moments in games last season. Including a 30 rebound 30 point game; The first since 1982! All Along with a double double streak of 53 games! I expect him to solidify himself as a REAL force teams should be concerned of.

If a 20/15 average doesn't make you a true force in the NBA I don't know what will. I don't see him producing anymore than he did last season though
