And seriously? NBA 2k11 is an specs eater? Because some said that you'll get constant lag if all the cores are used that's why you have to uncheck the two cores in affinity. nevermind.
Not in my case...no lag/low fps whatsoever =) My only problem is when i turn off vsync, fps varies greatly and can dip from 170s to 130s..Thats why i keep vsync on so that its constant 60fps.
I think it can. Will be getting Powercolor 6850PCS+ OC edition. And an i5-2400. I think I'm fine. Though I want to get a GTX560Ti or 570 but I don't have the money.
I just researched how I would have to switch processors...and yeah, I don't think I can trust myself to do that, lol. Do you guys know anywhere where I can get it done for me?
changing processors is very easy...I can teach you step by step and the dos and donts (if its an intel system as I have no experience with AMD processors)
i just need a little help here. Im planning on a little upgrade on my system. Here are my specs: amd athlon x2 5000+ 2.6ghz biostar mcp6p m2+ geforce 9600gt 4gb ram
im planning to upgrade maybe the video card first because i really do not have the budget to have a full upgrade of my system. What video card do you suggest that really make a very good and noticeable improvement? Im having 40-50 fps at low to med settings with my system. Thanks.
Hi there kabayan. normally I would ask how much your budget is and recommend the best card you can have for the price. The problem is that your processor is a little outdated and might hold the card back still...
Im quite surprised that the 9600GT cannot run the game on high though but perhaps the processor is a factor too
i can go for a budget of 5-8k. You think that changing the card would not greatly affect the performance? What do you tink i should change? Should i go for an upgrade of my processor? Im thinking that if im going to change my processor it is alos necessary for me to change my board. And it will really cost me. What do you think? Buying a high end vid card or replacing my board and processor?
On my 13" macbook pro 2009 model, it runs at 60fps with everything low except textures on high, and 34fps with player on medium, courts on high, textures on medium, and crowd on low. At 800x600 resolution.
The specs are for my Macbook Pro, which proves most people should be able to run NBA 2K11/2K12:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.26ghz 2gb Ram NVIDIA Geforce 9400M
You could wait for bulldozer to come. It's AMD procie that will fight of Intel's sandy bridge. And it's much cheaper. Release date is next month. HOPEFULLY! Won't be delayed anymore.
So you can buy BULLDOZER INSERT HERE.lol. Probably costs 150-200$ mb am3+, Asrock 990FX Extreme 4 PHP 6800.00 4GB Gskill something P1550 Powercolor 6790 P5800 FSP 500 Blue Lighting P2000
