Professional Wrestling (WWE, TNA, ROH, etc)

yet we have Cena embracing through himself and the announcers that he gets mixed reactions, billed specifically against a heel.
Opinions are my own.

They really should try to stop fighting it with the Cena character. Hogan went heel, Bret Hart went heel despite having a huge following with several young fans and both worked because the crowd had begun to turn anyway. As we've all noted before, they'll still sell Cena merchandise even if he's a heel.

Punk's face turn is a great example of a turn being done right. His character hasn't really changed that much, just the reaction to it and they've reacted accordingly in the booking.

The MITB PPV was the perfect time for a Cena heel turn. Hell Rock even turned heel!

that was kinda nice, seeing a WWE cage match that didnt have interference (well, at least not until after it was over)

Matt Hardy has posted a very disturbing video on YouTube:

phpBB [video]

If he's serious, then I hope someone is able to get to him in time and prevents him from doing what it sounds like he's planning to do. If he's kayfabing, it's in very poor taste.

they obviously are attempting to turn Punk to a face, but he gets mixed reactions as does Cena, Christian, even R-Truth & Miz.
and the Sin Cara turn was a bit of a shocker, but i like it
i'm also liking the creative ways that Orton is getting his RKO. I liked the Ziggler bounce off the floor RKO. it's becoming very DDP-like

Agreed. Punk goes at a 70-30 split with kids and men, perhaps the same with Truth. Personally, I like Truth's current character better than his face persona.

So I've read that Matt is on a downing spree, whether this one is true or not -- he shouldn't have posted this video. I am thinking though, that this is some kind of vignette for Matt Hardy Version 3.0 (or is it 4?)

MATT HARDY UPDATE

The apparent suicide note was a rib.

A short time ago police were dispatched to carry out welfare checks at
the homes of Matt and Jeff Hardy in North Carolina.

Beth Hardy, wife of Jeff, posted on Twitter that officers showed up to
their house just after 11pm: "The f**king joke is over @MATTHARDYBRAND
Stop trying to work the Internet," she wrote. "I guess you got what you
wanted... Everyone is talking about you, again. But it's not in a good
way."

Shane Helms also wrote: "Don't believe the hype... And please don't bash
me for it! I didn't do it, had nothing to do with it... Bottom line, I
do enough dumb Sh*t on my own. I don't need to take heat for other
people's mistakes!"

Not sure of the original source, found that on another forum.

Was expecting the RKO to come while Ziggler was falling on the bump that came directly before the RKO. Makes little sense that he'd bounce that high, really.

yeah it couldve come at either time, but i was a little surprised when he hit it so after i saw it on replay, i was a bit impressed by the way it went down

i thought it would've worked for vickie to have a stable of heels in her corner but looks like they're setting up a breakup and a face turn for ziggler. i guess it could work. i see him as a combination of mr. perfect and bad ass billy gunn, so i think he would go over as either a heel or a face.

Matt Hardy needs help. It's good to know that he didn't actually commit or attempt to commit suicide (at least according to the current reports) but I hope that video was a cry for help and not an attempt to sell a new gimmick because again, that would be extremely distasteful.

Qballer wrote:they obviously are attempting to turn Punk to a face, but he gets mixed reactions as does Cena, Christian, even R-Truth & Miz.

True, but the turn is riding a change in the crowd reactions, so it's less forced than them trying to sell Cena as a full blown face. I know they acknowledge the mixed reactions here and there but when it comes to the angles and booking he's definitely designated as a firm face regardless of the crowd's opinion.

Matt Hardy's "explanation".

The YouTube Video was not in any way a suicide note.. No words such as death, suicide, kill, heaven or hell were included-I wanted to see people's optimism or pessimism towards my words. It's pretty clear to me what their reaction was, and I needed one last attention grabber to let the World know that Matt Hardy has re-found his true self. After the events of the last couple of weeks, even though I've made some terrible mistakes, I have come to a revelation in my life. I realized that since the "MATTHEW" videos, with the damage inflicted on my body over the last 15 years and, more importantly, how I was coping with the severe pain, "Matt Hardy" had lost his way. I went from being the guy who wanted to change the world, entertain and inspire people to being someone who was more concerned about shock value and making the world unravel my cryptic messages and videos.

NO MORE.

Tonight's video at http://bit.ly/dvfwOb represented the end of the "New" Matt "MATTHEW" Hardy, as I've come full circle back to the "Old" Matt Hardy. They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and I believe that statement defined my last two weeks. Regardless of if its in a wrestling ring or not, I WILL change the World, make it a better place, and inspire and motivate others to do the same. I am of sane mind, completely clean of any and all crutches, and feel better then I have in years. You'll be surprised at my stories from the last two weeks, as well as my future plans and aspirations.. More videos will follow on http://www.youtube.com/MATTHARDYBRAND to explain my revelation and reveal my future plans. I apologize to anyone who was taken off guard or frightened by my final, cryptic YouTube entry. I want to reassure everyone that I am doing great right now. Stay tuned, as I'll be upgrading and launching several new ventures in the days to come. Be well all, I wish you all the best.

In other words, what looked very much like a suicide note/announcement (and there's no way he couldn't have been aware of that unless he's truly dense) was an incredibly lame and distasteful attempt to get attention and promote himself/his next project, whatever that may be. I guess it's good to know that he's not suicidal but if it were a genuine cry for help, I could sympathise with that. As it stands though, that's just pathetic.

Who gives a shit about Matt Hardy anymore .. seriously. Didn't he try to "relaunch" himself/his character a couple of months ago?

Really liked the cage match and HHH's and Punk's promo. Although "skinny fat ass" is quite the oxymoron.

Is it just me or have recent WWE promos been getting a little bit more explicit? They have no problem saying "ass" and "bitch" as well as eloquently describing how Alberto Del Rio's mouth will resemble his anus or something like that.

They're pushing the limits of PG again, which I feel they definitely should. They don't need to go all out sleazy with it but when the faces are calling heels poopyheads, it's time to bring a bit of an edge back to the programming.

Matt Hardy announces his retirement. Probably for the best that he step away from the business and the public eye for a while, though after the bridges he's burned I wouldn't be surprised if retirement has kind of been thrust upon him.

Not reading the dirt sheets yet but, I'm hoping the WWE keeps Mistico and have a feud with the current Sin Cara. Just hoping though.

Imposter feuds don't always turn out so well, but that has some potential.

Punk's promo on RAW was awesome. (Y)

while punk was good, HHH was a bit on the dull side. he almost put me to sleep, literally. either he's gone soft or has forgotten how to do a promo or something because i don't think he has an excuse for saying "skinny fat ass"
