next year I think KG will definately be a strong candidate. You also can not forget about TD.
If Kobe's case is settled and moves to another team he will be my first guess as MVP. This would also be especially true if he can hit the gym like he did in the summer going into the 2002-2003 season.

If everyone leaves the lakers then Shaq can also be a strong candidate for MVP because he won't have to share the ball with someone also.

LeBron can make a case for MVP next year if the cavs get 60 wins next year lol..
but Kobe if he does leave can really make a strong point. Going to the Clippers, Hawks or some other bad team (Bobcats too!!)and helping them turn things around would really attract some attention.

yeah congrats to KG.. his consistency is out of this world.. 24 points, 14 boards, 5 dimes, 1.4 steals, 2 blocks a game.. and his numbers went up after adding two all stars to his team.. i wonder how he's gonna top this performance next year.. but yeah i can't wait to see kobe once his court thing is settled.. he was a freak last year when he hit the weights and averaged 30 ppg.. wouldnt be surprised if he wins it next year or even the year after that

Well done by KG this year he just seems to do what needs to be done. Like when the Wolves were down by six late against Sacremento and Garnett hit two three pointers to send it into overtime

Even though we saw it coming, congrats to KG. He probably could have won the award last year, but this year he was truly deserving of the honour.

Well deserve KG. I just wish he can go all the way and win the championship. I'm not a big fan of his, but right now i'm beginning to be. :)

Very well deserved... this might be the first a high-school-to-pros player won MVP also? Anyways, I don't think a single poster has anything bad to say about KG, (Y)

He does derserve it.

From his first year in the NBA, you could see something in KG, that you knew that he'd be big. He's been putting up consistant numbers, good ones for several years now, and last year I was pissed off because he missed out but this year, he's gotten the respect he desrves. He and his Wolves, will be tough to beat, and I think, they deserve to at least be Conference Champs.

It's about time he got it...i always prefered 'the big ticket 'him to the 'big fundamental'.
