28th November 7:30pm

6-8 Bucks @ 11-3 Celtics

Starters

Celtics
F:Dirk Nowitski
F:Kwame Brown
C:Michael Olowokandi
G:Michael Redd -C
G:Dwyane Wade

Bucks
F:Jamal Mashburn
F:Troy Murphy
C:Rasheed Wallace
G:Joe Johnson
G:Darrel Armstrong

The Bucks came into this game looking like the automatic losers, on a 4 game losing streak. But you can never discount them, taking a closer look at the line-up it is obvious they have a strong front court to battle to triple towers of Boston. Look for the game to be run by the big men on both teams.

The first quarter started with a 13-4 run by the Celtics, the first 10 points were all scored by the Boston frontcourt, with Dirk shooting 3/3 from the field. The Celtics carried on with the good play and kept the lead to finish the quarter 26-13, with Dirk leading the Celtics with 11points.

The second saw the Bucks settle down and bring some better play to the court. Both teams scored 25 points during the quarter with both performances being a team effort.

HalfTime Score: 51-38

The third quarter saw the Celtics defense collapse allowing 31 points during the quarter mainly from Mashburn. The offense of the Celtics slowed down as well recording 21 points on 6/22 shooting. Also the Celtics who had been leading the rebounds all game were out rebounded 4-15 during the quarter. Redd managed to sink a buzzer beater 3 to give boston the lead into the 4th 72-69.

The fourth was a chase. The Bucks kept making runs, but each time they almost got there the Celtics would once again pull away. With 1 minute left the BUcks started fouling and the Celtics who were on fire from the line put the game away.

Final Score: 103-94

Johnathon Bender 13p 6/8 2stl

Jamal Mashburn 24p 11/14 3rebs 1blk 2stl 4ast
Troy Murphy 15p 7/14 11rebs 1blk 3stl 5ast 5TO
Rasheed Wallace 19p 9/19 11rebs 2blk 2stl 1ast

Inside sources in the Boston Celtics Organisation, have told that there is more talk of trade. Although the lack of rebounding in the starting frontcourt has been addressed, there is also a lack of a good defender at the swing postition. This is likely to be fixed in the near future, if the problem cannot be solved.[/i]

Trade!!!

In a sign and Trade deal today the Boston Celtics sent PF Walter McCarty and G Boby Simmons to Houston for Swingman Boris Diaw.

When asked about motivation behind the trade GM Match_66 replied.
"Walter was a good player in our team but he was ending up with less shots than he used to get, Borris brings us good defense and all round game. By trading Walter we have opened up some playing time for F/C Kendrick Perkins".

I simmed the second game agaisnt Milwaukee since i was half way through adn the damn gmae crashed, i wasnt about to play against those Power Hop abusing freaks again so anyway i lost the game putting me at 12-4.

December 1st 7pm

11-4 Memphis Grizz @ 12-4 Boston Celtics

Starting Lineups:

Celtics
F:Dirk Nowitski
F:Kwame Brown
C:Michael Olowokandi
G:Michael Redd
G:Dwyane Wade

Grizzlies
F:Stephen Jackson
F:Donyell Marshell
C:Raef Lafrentz
G:Allan Houston
G:Setphon Marbury

These two teams first met in the Celtics season Opener with the Grizz taking the victory 117-105. But that was when the Celtics were young and vunrable, look for some Vengence in this game.

The game started out with the Celtics taking control early. With about 5 mins left in the first, they put on a nice little run to pull out the lead at the end of the first 25-12. This seems to be the pattern for the Celtics.

During the second the Grizz managed to make a run, but the Celtics managed to keep the game under control. Keeping calm and playing effectively on offense the Celtics managed to maintain the DOuble digit l;ead going into the half.

HalfTime Score 53-42.

The Third saw the Grizz make another attempt, some would say it was succesful, with the Grizz shooting an unworldly FG%, but the Celtics hung on and once agin went on a short run near the end of the quarter to close out ahead 84-71.

The Fourth quarter was unbelievable, it seemed like the game was some sort of computer game where the computer team could hit anything and the user team couldnt even hit a open lay-up, even though they had some of the best shooters in the league. But once again the Celtics were clutch and managed to convert the plays that really mattered.

End Score: 114-109

Now i was wondering wether it would be wrong for me to make a trade like say Dirk + Redd for someone like Kobe. It would weaken my team in the shooting area but thats sorta what i want, im finding it too easy on offense and i'd like to be able to share the shots in my team more and have to win my games by playing good D.

So would it be unrealistic, Kobe is currently in LAC so maybe i could use a reason like he wanted to get out of LA or something.

Since you've already held a Fantasy Draft, I don't think trading for Kobe would be too unrealistic.

Oh man Match, you traded away Walter?? And that Kobe trade, I wish mine was a fantasy draft, then my whole team...well you know what I'm going to say.

Anyway, damn I missed your dynasty (and mafia's) and now that I'm back here, it looks like you've been busy. Kandi Man on your team, good work. Tough luck about the losses though. Anywho, keep up the good dynasty work match, talk more on MSN, and hopefully that Kobe trade will go through. Peace

Anyway check out my Miami one when you get a chance.
