How to insert a real PHOTO PORTRAIT for classic players?

Postby rickiu on Tue Jun 07, 2011 2:13 pm

Classic players are real COOL!! But I `d like to replace all those CFs with real photo portraits, like those attached :D ! :P

When I use the Mod Tool - Texture and 3D Importing/Exporting, and try to import & replace the player portrait , what kind of file format should I prepare beforehand, like JPEG or sth?? Do any bro knows if there is any tutorial on this in details.

Also, is the Mod Tool - Texture and 3D Importing/Exporting (download link: http://download.nba-live.com/index.php?act=view&id=2516

)the best & simpliest way to do this task?

Thx

yep, the mod tool is the easiest way to do it and if you need a tutorial on how to use it viewtopic.php?f=138&t=80851

the files need to be saved as a DXT5 DDS file, if you need help there is this tutorial viewtopic.php?f=138&t=80854

there is no correlation between the roster file (which controls what portrait is assigned to what player) and the portrait file. So you will want to replace existing, known, portraits with the legends you are importing. For instance, in the REDitor (free version) Jason Kapono's PortID (portrait ID) is 1043, if you can find his portrait in the file, replace it with Reggie, then find your Reggie Miller in the roster you have him in and give him the PortID of 1043
Opinions are my own.
