Help editing .iff files

Postby Bnicolas13 on Tue May 17, 2011 3:59 pm

I'm trying to get into making various cyberfaces. I can't get them to open in photoshop or gimp. I'm assuming that there is a necessary plug-in, I just can't find it. Is there any other options for editing .iff files? Thanks.

3D models need to modify Blender or 3DS MAX

2.ble_n2km_import.py, ble_n2km_export.py – Blender model plug-in, add \. Blender \ scripts \,
Select “File>> Import>> Import N2KM” import n2km model file, select “File>> Export>> Export N2KM” model file exported n2km

this files are in the package of NBA2K_x MOD

Ok I see your problem! Take the files and add them in your PROGRAM FILES folder and not your roaming folder.

Try doing this, if you have the Blender icon on your desktop, right click on it and select properties. After it a little window opens with multiple tabs it SHOULD open in the Shortcut tab and there SHOULD be a button titles "Open File Location" once you click on that button it will send you to a folder located in your program files folder. From there, you should see two folders labeled ".blender" open it then go to the "scripts" folder and deposit the two files from the NBA 2k mod download into that folder. Once you do that, when you import something on Blender you should see "Import .n2km" in that list. Best of luck!

2.57 is a mission, so glad that I don't use blender

Try doing a search for this file though "console.py" the PY extension is a python file that should be associated with Blender and IN the scripts folder. If you do find the folder, can I request a screenshot for future reference to others with the same question?

I, myself, have a question (or two) about editing .iff files. Okay, so I started to work on a cyberface for the My Player mode, adding a beard and all of that. Well, after I import it into the game I run into a problem. Up close the cyberface looks fantastic, just as I envisioned it. However, when you zoom out a little bit it's as if the beard and everything else I added disappears. Any reason as to why? I only edited the main cyberface texture, by the way, in case anyone asks. Thanks for any assistance, it's much appreciated.

I'm sorry but I need you to explain that a little bit more

You're telling me up close everything looks fine and then when you zoom out it COMPLETELY disappears or does it just become hazy? It can be your settings perhaps OR (in the case that is is hazy) it does that sometimes when you zoom out. It's evident with Kevin Garnett's Goatee.

Also, what do you mean by "everything else I added"

Does it have to do with the green texture that's in all of the png .iff files? It completely disappears and I don't think it could be my settings as everything is maxed out.

Did you install Python as well? It is useful so the scripts can be read (Y)

I'm sorry to trouble you guys. When I view it in mod tools it has that green texture but when I export it and load it in photoshop the green texture is gone. Does anyone know why this might be?

Can someone help me really quick? I'm working on a bibby CF and was finishing it up as I went to save it I got this error:
Too many channels to export(5)

Is there a way to fix this? I only have 2 layers so I don't know what its talking about...

I'm having the same problem with adding the n2km. I was able to find console.py and it was in Blender>2.57>scripts>modules I put in the ble_n2km_import and export files and they didn't show. I've also installed python. It doesn't make any sense...

idk man but tis what i do make the texture then use the lasso tool and CUT the hair(eyebrows or beard) then paste it and make it 10 percent visible or if you want the easy way and no sweat then just make the whole texture ten percent
