Simple Cyberface Request

Postby ClLUTClH on Thu May 19, 2011 10:38 pm

I do not own the REDitor. Just want to know, is it possible to take my 'My Player' file and make it into a .iff file so that I can edit the cyberface, If I want to, later on in my season?

This is the one I want made into a .iff file if at all possible. Thank you very much.

If anyone can do this for me please send me a message or let me know in here. Much appreciated.

If all you want to do is change the cyberface mid season, I'm pretty sure you can assign a .iff file later on in the season in the .CMG file on REDitor. You just have to change the CF ID value into something in the 2k files folder.

I know that it's possible with REDitor but I don't have the full version. :( I just need someone to convert the file for me to a pngxxxx.iff. I've got all the rest covered. Thanks for the input.

I recommend to get the player version, you won't regret it (Y)

Though, I can't convert a .iff file for you. Let me explain

When it comes to created players, there are values in the game that shape the face (this is the sliders that you adjust when you create a player, the slider you move gives it a numerical value). Though on REDitor there is a column you can change that overrides the NBA sliders and you can assign a PNG file to the player. So if you create a player in the game, they TECHNICALLY don't have a PNGfile because all the numerical values are in the game already to shape the face. When you select the column and assign it a face, THAT is when you can put a value in the CF ID column (such as the number in the PNG .iff file)

So there is an on and off switch when it comes to faces. ON means you can assign it a face and off means NBA will use the numbers stored and make one for you.

Thank you for explaining, iPrototype. I've tried creating my own cyberface using Josh McRoberts' file as a base but ran into a problem. After I imported the file into the game and added it to my created player it looked fine close up, just like I had envisioned. However, when I zoomed out a little bit the facial hair and everything else I had added faded away. I'm not sure why.
