Been busy the last few days, but just checked and saw the amazing season previews. They're very thorough and the sim season feature is a great touch. Can't wait for the Thunder season! (Y)

(2-1) Thunder Up! - Week One Recap | PHX, GS, PHI

Suns late rally surprised Thunder in season opener

OKLAHOMA CITY — New season, new players, a new beginning but still got the same problem, how to close a game.

Thunder once got a 21-point lead in the game but suddenly a late 16-4 run by the Suns in the fourth quarter shocked the home team to oust them in their season opener.

Carmelo Anthony donned his new jersey and also number in a Suns uniform, but it turned out to be his worst game of his career. Anthony scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, he also had eight assists in his first game as a Sun. But his shooting woes is well recorded, as he shot a career-worst 9-of-39 in the field, zero from three-point range, but what matter most is, he sank the game-winning shot to up the Suns by one in just 2.3 second remaining. Josh Childress led the Suns in scoring by 23, rookie Laurence Cardinal had a fair debut, scoring 19 and had six assists, Steve Nash added 15.

Everyone is expecting a victory because of the Suns struggling offense, but they didn't notice the Thunder struggled to find good shots. Russell Westbrook scored 26 but shot 8-of-26, Westbrook didn't score in the fourth quarter, MVP Kevin Durant also displayed a sloppy shooting night, converting only 7-of-23 en route to 21 points, he had a team-high 15 rebounds though. James Harden contributed 20 for the Thunder, Kendrick Perkins grabbed 14 points and scored five points in his first game as a Thunder.

Childress two breakaway dunks kick off the scoring spree for the Suns and cut the lead to just one. 'Melo handled the ball for merely 20 seconds and looking at the game clock, he drove to the lane and successfully made a well-defended shot by Perkins, everyone was stunned in that moment. Durant miss the potential game winning shot in the next possession as the Suns completed a comeback victory.

Both teams couldn't reach the 40% plateau in field goal percentage. Thunder had a slight upper hand in terms of rebounding but they committed eight more turnovers than the Suns did.

Really nice work on those team previews :applaud:

I like the Clippers team, i hope they can reach the Playoffs, i am sure they will.

Tough loss against the Suns, but i think you are doing well so far. You destroyed the 76ers, be aware Turner will step up this season, he already did 18 points against your team.

my guess would be NBA.com....and just ripping the logos from the scores page

(since the entire scoreboard looks like NBA.com)

Surprising win by the Suns (funny to see Melo in his new jersey), but it looks like you've rebounded since then. Thumbs up on the presentation too (Y)

Mavs4Life, Absolutely, I thought I got the game on how Melo played badly, but the comeback just happened :(

KidJustin, Blame Melo! Thanks man, still thinking of adding some features on the next week recap.

osaki, Clippers is playoff-bound team this year :) As for Turner, he said he'll test the Free Agency this upcoming off-season, let's see if the Sixers trade him.

Cruzerr, Durant is MVP, what can you expect? :) and for the boxscores use this, http://dynasties.operationsports.com/ge ... &sport=nba

Valdis, As what KidJustin said, it's from NBA.com

Thierry •, Glad we won those last two games though.

Grandmama Johnson, The jersey fits into him I think, but he chuckled way too many shots  9/39? Really awful. Thanks for the nice words man.

Tough time in my life now causing the slow updates, love problems :? Will try to post Week Two recap tomorrow though :)

(4-2) Thunder Up! - Week Two Recap | CHI, MIL, MIN

The Oklahoma City Thunder finished their second week by winning two games out of three. They went to Chicago in their first game on the week and face the Bucks next. Their mini-road trip ended when they returned to their home and face the lowly Minnesota Timberwolves.

It was a offensive show by the Thunder when they played against the Bulls. Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden each scored at least 20 points to outmuscle the Chicago Bulls. Harden got the best player awards, he hit 10-of-19 in the game, talk about his radar-guided three point shooting, he nailed 7 of his 12 attempts of his treys to lift the Thunder. Bulls never had a lead throughout the game, the backcourt of Derrick Rose and J.R. Smith combined for a poor 17-of-51 shooting. Luol Deng led the team with his 33 points. As for the second game, it features the Bucks balanced scoring and their frontcourt dominance against the Thunder. Kendrick Perkins injured his left ankle in the middle of the third quarter but insist to sit it out. Westbrook struggled, and they let the Bucks to dominate them in the last quarter. All of their starters scored double figures. They fly back to their home arena, Thunder overcame big efforts from Jonny Flynn, Wesley Johnson and Michael Beasley, where they each hit 20 points and more. Wolves are missing Kevin Love because of an injury and it really hurt them especially in the rebounding battle.

(8-2) Thunder Up! - Week Three Recap | TOR, LAL, CLE, MIN

Postby Justine. on Tue May 17, 2011 10:25 pm

Image

Image Image Image

Third week for the Oklahoma City Thunder maybe the best week of the season so far. After achieving four wins and now riding a five-game winning streak. They were able to extinguished the Toronto Raptors featuring Jeff Green who returned to Oklahoma City Thunder as a Raptor, they then visit the Los Angeles Lakers next and were able to grab a win, the next two games were a not close contested, as they blew-out the Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves.

James Harden once again shined this week and by the way he is playing, he's showing an early campaign for a season award or maybe an All-Star appearance. Harden is enjoying the new season and his new role in the team. He managed to score at least 20 points in all four games this weekend. While the rumors of Serge Ibaka is still floating, the big man is still showing what he can really do, currently leading in the league in terms of blocks, Ibaka's defense was really felt in all of the games. Reports said that the Thunder management will not put Ibaka's name on the block as they were not ready to let go of the promising man.

Green was traded to the Raptors in exchange for Jarrett Jack and some picks, he returned to his former team to face his ex-teammates, he struggled though as he was checked throughout the game by Ibaka, their no. 2 overall draft pick David Brady is still out because of an injury expected to come back a little more longer. But what's surprising for the Raptors is they are currently in the second place in the Eastern Conference holding a 4-1 record before losing to the Thunder. The next game was almost the same as the Raptors, they suffocated the Lakers because of their defense and they hold Kobe Bryant to a worst shooting night, they pull away in the third quarter and never looked back as the trio of Westbrook, Harden and Kevin Durant rock the West leading Lakers. It's not only Bryant struggled though as his fellow teammates also played poor that cost them the game. The last two games of the week is a pure blowout, enough said. An offensive onslaught by the young squad help to trashed the Cavaliers and Timberwolves, who they beat also last week.
