Awesome streak ends as Grizzlies take a win at home
Rudy Gay lead the Memphis with 22 points and 5 rebounds.
Well, all good things, must come to an end. Cleveland was coming off a huge victory over the Spurs, while Memphis were struggling, dropping from 6 to 9th in a week. As it seemed that Cavaliers would take this one, the home crowd in Memphis said the same, as the Grizzlies edged out Cleveland by 4 points.
Cleveland did not have a bad game. T-Will again lead the team, finishing with 27 points and 6 rebounds. Demar was closely behind him, with 22 points. Some good play was from Parker also, who had 18 at the end. Also, the rebounding of Varejao and Antawn was good, in total of 23 rebounds. Too sad that none of them got any good points up, both finishing with 8 points. When we asked J.J Hickson, who confirmed that against the Pistons he will be back, about the great streak they had, he said : " Well, we could not keep this up forever, there will be always better teams that will defeat you. One loss does not ruin our performance for now, so we just got to win our next game, that is all. "
Williams was 0-3 from downtown, missing a huge shot at the end. Still, you can not blame him for the loss.
Another game that Demar plays less than 20 minutes and puts up more than 20 points. From Grizzlies side, things seem are on the rise now. Rudy finished with 22 points, with O.J Mayo behind him , scoring 17. Some huge rebounding was from Marc Gasol, who had 14 rebounds and 14 points. Zack however had a good game, with 14 and 7 rebounds, but if he would have been hot, this game would have had a different score. " You cant expect him to be hot every game. Sure, he is a great player, but we cant put a lot of pressure on Zack. Let him do his thing when he feels it and when it is needed. " - said Lionel Hollins after the game. Randolph himself replied : " Not every day is my day. "
Mayos problem was his turnovers, having 7 for the night.Cleveland will try to build their success against Portland, while Memphis will stay at home to face the Bulls.
Also, be sure to vote for the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest Participants ! Voting will end, when I put up the game against Boston ! Now, I give you with utmost pleasure :

Star and Flunk of the Night !
Star :
Rudy Gay - He did not have the most points, but with him stepping up, that is what Memphis needs and will need, if they want to get back to the 6th seed.
Flunk :
Alonzo Gee - As he had 20 minutes of play, and was 0-6 from the field, it would have been enough to continue the streak.
