Team overview:
The Rockets have missed the playoffs last year because of Yao Ming's absence. Last season also ended Tracy McGrady's tenure in Houston with a trade to the New York Knicks. But they were not left short-handed. They also got Kevin Martin on that trade. They finished the season with a 42-40 mark, good for 9th place in the West.
With the return of Yao, many says that the Rockets became a championship-caliber team again. With the emergence of Chase Budinger, Luis Scola, Chuck Hayes, and Kyle Lowry, the Rockets are now part of the so-called elite team in the NBA.
Here are some off-season moves:
The Rockets got Terrence Williams from the New Jersey Nets in a three-team deal with the Lakers that sent Sasha Vujacic to the Nets and Joe Smith heading to the 2-time defending champs.
Jermaine Taylor was traded to the Sacramento Kings for a conditional 2nd-round pick.
Goran Dragic became a Rocket when he was traded for Aaron Brooks.
Shane Battier returned to Memphis in a trade. In return, the Rockets got Hasheem Thabeet and DeMarre Carroll.
Here are the starters:
C-Yao Ming, 7-6
F-Luis Scola, 6-9
F-Chase Budinger, 6-7
G-Kevin Martin, 6-7
G Kyle Lowry, 6-0
Bench:
G-Courtney Lee, 6-5
C-Chuck Hayes, 6-6
F-Patrick Patterson, 6-9
F/G-Terrence Williams, 6-6
C-Brad Miller, 7-0
G-Goran Dragic, 6-3
F/C-Jordan Hill, 6-10
Reserves:
C-Hasheem Thabeet, 7-4
F-DeMarre Carroll

Awesome! Finally someone other than me is doing a Rockets dynasty!

Damn, rough start. Similar to the RL Rockets this season. I think you should utilize Scola more, see what he can do.

Scola doesn't have any freestyle ability. But let's see. I usually go to K-Mart or Yao in the 4th.

Huge games from K-Mart against the Heat and the Spurs. Just unfortunate you still have just one win as you've been running into game-winners and tip-ins.

Despite the record, nice to see K-Mart and Dragic scoring well

With Yao's absence, K-Mart should really step up. And the others too.

A rumor...
ESPN Rumor Central

Sources says that they discussed if there is a need for a change of coach. Also, a player expressed his discontent on the team's performance. He wants to be traded. We'll still find out if it's true.

Man, as futile as the RL Rockets.

I'm curious about who wants to get traded...

Gosh, I didn't update this for a very loooooooooooooooong time!

Anyways, I'm on my third year now with the Rockets. Kobe gives the franchise a repeat, sweeping Miami in both occasions and winning the Finals MVP. In my first year, I was the 7th seed in the West. I also got Blake Griffin from the Clippers at that time. After the first championship, I traded Griffin to the Blazers for LMA. In the 2nd season, I was number 1, and coach Rick Adelman won COY.
Hopefully, I can update you guys in my 3rd season.
