The most exciting All-Star Game in the last 10 years

I am wondering..
What was for you the most exciting All-Star Game in the last ten years?

The one I most appreciated was in 2001, though the score was the smallest of these years (111-110 for the East). The Answer was MVP.

MJ's last ASG carried a lot of drama with it, and I think that's why I was really hooked while watching it. It was a great game, but I enjoyed Washington where the underdogs out East prevailed with Antonio Davis and Anthony Mason as their starting big men.

i'd have to say last years game by a slight margin.. the 2001 was exciting as hell with the marbury/bryant shoot out but nothing would top mj's fadeaway over marion.. ahhh

I like 2001 most,but imo '92 was great,especially(sp?) the end where MJ went one-on-one with Magic! :shock:

2003 was great because of MJ

As I'm a Michael Jordan fan, 1996 for me. It was also the last year that all the great players who came along in the mid-late 80s and early 90s all made an appearance. Quite a few of them would have appeared in 1997, but had to sit out due to injuries.

While we're on the subject, I've now got every All-Star Weekend from 1984 to 2004. When I have the time, I was thinking of watching them all and posting reviews and recaps here in the forum. I don't need any extra incentive to watch them, but would anyone be interested in me doing that? Obviously, the recaps/reviews would lead into a discussion about each All-Star Weekend. :wink:

I think it was the first all star game where each player wore the jersey of his respective team. MJ got a triple-double, Glen Rice broke the record for most points scored in a quarter? half? can't remember. And i think the east broke the record for most points scored in a quarter

i voted 97, that was the year that Glen Rice went off in the 3rd and MJ had that sweet tip dunk off the GH FT

I checked. MJ got the 1st triple-double of All-Star Game in 1997. And as Stack42 said, players wore their own teams jerseys. The Top 50 players of all-time were there too, when Glen Rice received the award.

96 All-star Game was not bad either. It was a special all-star game. At this time, the votes were done before the end of the game... The problem is that Shaq ended the game very well. (Do U remember the Slam dunk of Shaq at the end of this game ? Ask David Robinson.) Jordan was elected MVP, while many people thought Shaq deserved this award more than MJ.

the best I think... Hardaway got the inbound pass with 3 seconds left, crossover dribbled to left someone behind, a floater over don't remeber who from the top of the key that just hit the back rim...

then in overtime, Barkley hit a 3 from the left wing and the ESPN narrator went balistic :-P
