96~~
I think it was the first all star game where each player wore the jersey of his respective team. MJ got a triple-double, Glen Rice broke the record for most points scored in a quarter? half? can't remember. And i think the east broke the record for most points scored in a quarter

While we're on the subject, I've now got every All-Star Weekend from 1984 to 2004. When I have the time, I was thinking of watching them all and posting reviews and recaps here in the forum. I don't need any extra incentive to watch them, but would anyone be interested in me doing that? Obviously, the recaps/reviews would lead into a discussion about each All-Star Weekend.

I was planning on starting at 1984 and going forward, but I might do them in random order. I haven't decided yet.
